Sorry to hear this. It's a horrible feeling isn't it.
I had three redundancies in two years a couple of decades ago. Two of them were out of the blue and on one occasion I was the only one and on another I was one of two. The other one (the first one) wasn't so bad as we worked under receivership for two years and the whole place folded so we had a bit of camaraderie about it.
It ended up with me being self-employed and eventually turned out to be one of the better events in my life once I sorted myself out. I probably wouldn't have risked the break without it being enforced.
Hopefully you will be able to sort out new work quite quickly although I do realise it's tough out there right now.0 -

Sorry to hear about your impending redundancy Pippo
Maybe you could take a look at the Up Your Income Board. There are lots of ideas of making extra cash, which might tide you over until the next job - or like Paul - give you an idea o become self-employed
Worth a look, take care x0 -

XXOh pip, that's awful - sorry to hear that. I agree with igiveup though, there's loads of fab advice and support out there. Will you be working your notice? If so, your employer must give you 'reasonable' time off paid if you have any interviews etc. Get chatting some agencies as well and get your name on the books as they do a lot of the leg work for you on the job front. Keep us posted and you know we're all here to help!
