  • Whatcha PADers!

Made it into work today, as it's been raining all morning and the roads have (mostly) cleared...and whilst I am glad that the bob sleigh era seems to be over, I must admit to missing being at home :o

However, an example of how much difference a few months can make is that I was immediately accepted for a credit card yesterday - with £3,100 limit  So I guess my fears that settling and - more to the point - closing my loan and old credit card accounts would adversely affect my credit rating were unfounded.

Don't worry though - I am not going down the credit card debt route again. Oh no. This is a cashback card that I plan to do all my spending each month that I would usually use my debit card for (fuel, food &etc), therefore leaving all my cash (apart from savings) in my current account gaining interest, and also pocketing loads of lovely cashback. That's the plan anyway. If I have even one month where I don't pay off the balance in full I will order my gentleman friend to take the card away. No more!

Anyhoo. My PAD for today is 2p into my PAD tin and £4.09 into my savings account to round down my current account, so £4.11 total :o

I have read back and know that there are those of you that could do with a hug and a glass of wine...those of you who need to leave a steering lock on your car ;) and those of you just generally feeling the shabby dreariness that ensues from a snowbound, and thrifty January...and to you all I say: KEEP SMILING, PEEPS! IT MAKES EVERYONE ELSE WONDER WHAT YOU'RE UP TO!

    Take it easy, sneezy...
