Luckily I can't do anything wet at the moment (got to keep my dressing and wound dry) so OH had the job of scrubbing the pans - ha! ha! That'll teach him!
I have a slightly odd OH - he actually likes scrubbing! When we moved into our house, the ceramic hob looked like it hadn't been cleaned in the three years the previous owners had lived there. I bought a hob scraper and came home one day to find OH standing over the hob scraping away!
How long does the dressing have to stay on for?Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -

It's not fair they put that pressure on you.... sending :grouphug: your way xx
Thanks for the hugs psycho.I thought it was a bit mean of them too. Your work sounds pretty strict - some sickness policies are nuts!
Chin up Sashy - enjoy the time off with your puddy tats & whilst you have some free time - why not look around for another job? Good luck:D
Thanks sasha. I am indeed enjoying more cuddle time with the cats - they like having their human cushion around more. :rotfl: I think I will have to start looking for another job as don't enjoy this one anyway - maybe this is the push I need.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I think some guys seem to think they have to be the best at everything. Like their worthless or something if they can't cook a pancake well! Silly. And woe betide anyone who tries to help them! If they let you, it's like an admission of defeat for them I think.
Generalisation I know, but I've seen it often.
I don't have that problem (as a bloke) - you know the secret to perfect pancakes every time?
No mess? Easy enough for a man to do? Well the secret is......................

Yeah, I've had those before. Don't like them much. I mean, I'll eat them, but that's not saying much. I'll eat most junk food! lol
But homemade ones are much better. With a little crisp at the edges of them. Mmmmmmmm.
Do not underestimate the potential for overcooking these in the microwave. Yes, I've seen it happen! :rotfl::rotfl:February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

No way? haha - if it says put on high for 30 seconds and turn then do for another 30 seconds, you know what? That's what I do - how on earth can you go wrong reading a packet and pressing a button :rotfl::rotfl:
By the way, how come you're paying back UK debts if you live in Holland.....Isn't that anti MSE, we need to be having a quiet word, me thinks....?

Never tried them to be honest, but you just can't beat homemade.:drool::drool::drool::drool:
By the way I hope no-one has been daft enough to buy batter mix, to which one adds egg and milk - so essentially you are paying a lot of money for flour (ingredients of pancakes = egg, milk, flour)! Oh dear!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Can he come to my house?! It is like pulling teeth getting OH to do anything!
The stitches come out on Wednesday next week so the dressing has to stay on until then. Then I shall have the fun of trying to bend my finger - after being in the same position for the best part of a month.PigginSkint's debt free diary

You would think so, right? But nooooo, some 'genius' always thinks that they need longer! Numpty! :rotfl:
I'm paying them back because a) I feel I should and b) I want to keep my credit record in good order in case we decide to return to the UK, as we will then want to buy a place of our own. We'd both prefer to stay here but, OH is still re-negotiating his contract (for 1 April onwards). If they can't match his current salary on a local contract, then we may well have to return home as we won't be able to afford it here otherwise. Rent here is soooo expensive due to the housing shortage.
Although, after I pointed out exactly how much they'd f'cked up his payroll over the last two years (including breaking laws both here and in the UK), they decided that they CAN match his salary on a local contract and are, apparently, preparing it now!Silly b'ggers. They should've known better. They know what I do and who I work for too!
