Oh enjoy more pancakes!! Mine didn't turn out too well so I'm glad it was just me there to eat them...
You don't work for the public sector do you? Typical sickness monitoring process by the sounds of it, basically if you have 3 'occurrences' within a fixed period you can move from stage 1 to stage 3 (stage 3 meaning you're in !!!!!!).... they cannot however use sickness to terminate a contract (fixed or otherwise)...
But what I used to say to my staff, instead of taking 3 hangover days a year - take 3 cold weeks as you'll get the same punishment, so to speak! So therefore why have a warning after 3 days when you may as well have 3 weeks for the same lol... but the staff never got warnings, it was easy to play the game and be good until the 12 months were up then have another month off due to a cold or whatever :rotfl::rotfl:
Lots of private companies tried to follow suit but made a balls of it and pretty much each case they go to court over, they haven't quite grasped that is is not a way to punish people, but to monitor and manage effective sickness. That's all it really is....2010 - year of the troll
