  • Paddy and Murphy are working on a building site.
Paddy says to Murphy "I'm gonna have the day off,
    I'm gonna pretend I'm mad!"
He climbs up the rafters, hangs upside down and shouts

    "I'M A LIGHTBULB! I'M A LIGHTBULB!"

    Murphy watches in amazement!

The Foreman shouts "Paddy you're mad, go home"

    So he leaves the site.

Murphy starts packing his kit up to leave as well.

"Where the hell are you going?" asks the Foreman.

"I can't work in the fr!ggin' dark!" says Murphy.

I've got a pile of ironing to do today :( it's about the size of a small mountain :o I just love my days off - housework, housework and more housework  well after I've sat on here for a bit :rotfl:

OH has got another gig tomorrow night - I've told him I'm not going as it's one of those that puts a few bands on and the waiting around etc is not worth it, plus the pub is sooo full of kids I feel like an OAP :(:rotfl:

Pad today is £5 cap1 and £5 egg

Morning all... no pad for me today as I'm off to the sunny seaside to see my uncle and celebrate my 'friends' birthday! Hopefully I'll have some money left over tomorrow to pad.

Have a lovely weekend all :)

PS I have just been very MSE with my car's MOT! Turns out the part I need is out of stock, and by the time it gets here I will have to pay for a retest.... so I've called some breakers yards, got the part I need for just £30 instead of £121+vat and it should be here Monday morning! :j Hopefully I'll be able to get the car back in for repairs and retest before the 10 days is up!

We have that sort of problem even though we are on permanent contracts.... if you have more than 2 sick periods in 6 months (even if it's just one day at a time) it incurs a displinary for sickness. I was sent home for a migraine, and had one the other day, so now if I go sick before May I will have a displinary!! :(

It's not fair they put that pressure on you.... sending :grouphug: your way xx
