Ok how about why should i pay £4 for this chair when there might be loads more on Ebay soon for less money as they were only sold in Ikea for a penny...or something like that

Yes I was there too it was like a feeding frenzy...people were climbing over pallets to get at them,it was laughable really there were plenty to go round. On the way home followed a guy in an estate car he couldn't move for chairs inside the car and even piled them on the top!yaz wrote:went to the Birstall store. was surprised at the long queue outside!
once the doors opened some started running! they were very organised, telling ppl there were enough chairs to go round and handing them out from the boxes. got rather congested with ppl blocking the aisle with there trolleys and grabbing when there was no need! :rolleyes2 saw one man with a van full! must have had about 60 chairs in there! talk about greedy  i got 6 and left.bye hoo0 -
I turned up to the cardiff store at 9.20 this morning, bit of a queue so thought I would stick around for 10 mins see what happened, as soon as I saw people sprinting and pushing I got in the car and went home, some people are very sad. I went alone thinking perhaps I might get one or two and that I had nothing else to do, not to compete for a £6 chair.0

I did'nt want the chairs - but it was curious to notice ....
Drove near Croydon Ikea this morning, a queue of approx 50 people there 30mins before opening time (easliy seen as you drive over the bridge by the towers). Then later on, I had stop to go and do some "genuine" ikea shopping, when asking where some shelves were I enquired of the helpful Ikea shop assistant .... the story on the chairs .... he said they were all gone around 11.30 ....

Went to Warrington this morning, got there about 920, they let us all into the restaurant at 930ish to get Breakfast.
Queued up for 5 mins, got 12 chairs, decided to have another wander round still hundreds of pallets, so decided it would be rude not to get some more! Ended up with 36 of them, will all be going to friends and family for nowt!
Compared to some of the stories above we had a great experience.0
