The Ikea big match bet(again)

went to the Birstall store. was surprised at the long queue outside! once the doors opened some started running! :rolleyes: they were very organised, telling ppl there were enough chairs to go round and handing them out from the boxes. got rather congested with ppl blocking the aisle with there trolleys and grabbing when there was no need! :rolleyes2 saw one man with a van full! must have had about 60 chairs in there!:eek: talk about greedy :mad: i got 6 and left.

There was quite a few people at Lakeside this morning but i didn't have to queue that long with only about 15 minutes to go till opening at 10am.I think a few people even left the queue when they announced they give free tea and coffeee before they open:)
But it was a mad rush when they did open to have to run downstairs to where they were all on pallets.

All quiet @ the Warrington store when I got there @ 12:40. Big "Sorry - Sold Out" sign as well. No 1p chairs for me I'm afraid.

So it only cost you between 30-60 mins of each of your 33 employees wages to save a few quid on a crappy chair... Thats a least £3 for every 30mins each employee was in Ikea plus 1p; and you ended up with 200 chairs you don't really want and probably won't make a profit on!

Got 6 in cardiff and sold out in 25 mins. People fighting there too all over 1p chairs.

Hiya Herbal, myself and mum got 12 chairs at the Cardiff store this morning. Worst thing I saw was a chair snatched off a little girl, I went and got her another one .......... I was amazed at the crowds and the mis-management, we saw people going to their cars putting in say 12 and going back for another 12 !!
