did something stupid last night which half turned out ok (can you hear me trying to justify!!)
There's a couple who have a mobile 'gourmet' food van round and he comes round every 2 months. It's not cheapand he tried to come round before Christmas and I was at work. it's fish, dinner party type stuff in pastry, individual deserts etc and you buy 2 different half boxes or a whole boxes.
I spent........cough........£65:eek::o...(4 half boxes).......and it's not a lot of food:o
And then today - Asda cancelled my shopping delivery because of the hal an inch of snow we have had - so I can use some of the food delivered last night for dinner:D
Phew.......think I've got away with it :whistle:"Stay Wonky":D

I feel like sitting in front of a real fire, no other light, nice and quiet with a load of alcohol tonight.....
not sure why I wanted to share that......."Stay Wonky":D

tempting.....tempting.............:rotfl:
Actually..........that's a waste of cider - much better to drink it
Gemmz - probably not. I think the rules are much tighter than they used to be but to be honest it's not something I've looked into. When I split with my ex i did a self cert (well, they said that was best for me :rolleyes:) and basically put down the salary needed to qualify for the mortgage! Because I had 55k deposit they didn't bat an eyelid. Saying that, they put down 30k for my job and I was on about 22k at the time so it wasn't as if I was saying I was earning 50k for an admin job or something similar."Stay Wonky":D

Asda have cancelled again. I'm all for safety in bad weather but Poole has had 3 hours of snow - total and it's bright sunshine out there. My road is now icy but I am surprised at a blanket cancellation again. Just spoken to my ex about Charlie and he says the main road is clear and he went to the park yesterday and had no problems. Nobody has any slots now until Sunday (and Ocado is Monday!) so I'm going to book with Tesco instead for Sunday. Got plenty of stuff in, so it wasn't a major shop in the first place. Saves the pennies and makes me use up stuff I guess.

Ive emailed the leakstopper people at Wessex Water about the storm drain problem which (I'm presuming) causes the water on my drive each year. The water comes into my garden from the road above - you can see it coming through about 6 inches up the wall. There is a small alleyway between the end of the garden behind me (not an actual alleyway but a 'gap') and the top of mine and I guess this is where the water should be being channelled. Nothing to lose by asking them.

A Wessex Water van slowly crunched along my icy road this morning.....wonder if it was a routine drive around or they were looking up my drive.
Starting to get a bit concerned about how much my next fuel bill will be. Just had the last one and they've kept it at £67. They had slightly over estimated the useage, so I didn't correct it, so I have a few units in hand. I don't have the heating on overnight, but with me being off this week it has been on every day from around 10am and then I've been switching it off every couple of hours until it gets cold and then putting it back on and trying to have it off for the night around 9pm. There's no other heating in the house (ie no fire) but we have a throw each which we always sit under so it's not too bad even with the heating off.
Not well at the moment. Woke in the night with terrible pain in the back right side of my rib cage and in both collar bones. Sat under a throw from 2.30 on the sofa (it was cold by then!!) trying to sleep upright but in huge pain. I have these colic/gallstone attacks every now and again and it's because I either eat a fatty meal after weeks of eating low fat, or, a build up of eating fatty foods - well, I've hardly been munching lettuce over Christmas !"Stay Wonky":D

Aww (gentle) hugs BB - hope it passes off soon. XXNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

oh dear.......a Wessex Water truck with generator and signs on the back has now just crunched by and turned right onto the road higher than me.
It would be amazing if they are investigating the storm drain problem in the road above, but I'm hoping it isn't a burst pipe up there :eek:"Stay Wonky":D
