after my abortive attempt to post this morning....Attempt No 2.

Good news on Insurance cheque BB, now you just need to work on squeezing some more out of them.
DS's claim going well. Insurance have coughed up and 3rd party have paid the excess (£1000). Solicitors have confirmed that 3rd party accept liability and we await a cheque for £1400+ for losses and loss of use. Had four physio appts and has medical Exam on leg at end of March....so the bill keeps going up.

Have a good day, dont fall asleep in the 'loft'.!

Let's hope it gets sorted for DS quickly Pepe, they've said 6-9 months for me.

Am up in the loft now with just the radio for company. Need to find a way to fill the next 4 hours before I can go home with doing as little work as possible  ;)

  • Sorted something out today. A year ago I must have been having PC problems and I bought a PC registry software license (the free version must not have solved the problem). I suddenly got an email saying it was being renewed and was £29.95. Not only did I realise it was on automatic renewal, the CC on file had expired and I didn't want it again, especially as my PC went bang months ago!

So I wrote a snotty email and they've refunded the money and cancelled the automatic subscription :D

A very un-MSE purchase inthe first place but I was probably getting desparate as my PC got very ill for the first time around a year ago if I remember.

Just a word for everyone else - don't buy registry "cleaners". They're more trouble than they are worth.

  • god, my account just took a hit in more than 1 way.........shudder.

Went to town to pay in the car insurance cheque. Also paid the apartment money for Mallorca for May. Decided on Cala Bona in the end, right on the water's edge at the quiet end of the resort. Would have preferred Soller/Deia but right out of my budget!

Anyway, so that's £1500 in, £600 out. Then £24 on meat with the market butcher (3 pound of rump, 3 pound piece of brisket, couple of pound of smoky bacon, huge tray of boar sausages and same of venison sausages) and then £10 on bits in Sainsburys and £19 on stuff for class on Tuesday. I'll get the £19 back from petty cash on Monday but it all felt a bit _pale_ and out of control for a few minutes!! Long time since I've spent like that and one of the reasons I don't go to town!!

Now just need to sort out OH's IOU sheet. I've said I'm having shopping delivered tomorrow and am going to use what he owes me on that (around £60) and will then put his 'debt' on there. It's a big amount of money and I might ask him to pay it to me in some other way than using it for mid-month shopping for the next few months (on top of the contribution he makes at the beginning of each month).

Although, I guess if he is paying for the shopping at the beginning and middle of the month, it will mean I don't have anything to pay out food wise for around the next 5 months or so!

Just one question.....why has HE not paid for the holiday and you pay him back?

He has far more money than you.....does he get a kick out of seeing you struggle or what?
