  • someone at work has gone for a post at the organisation we are (eventually) merging with. There's a strong possibility he will get it which will leave his post open here. It's part time and it would replace my morning admin job but is the exact area I want to work in and am gathering a bit of experience with my afternoon job. The head of service already knows i'm interested in that area as I've said it before (it's managing tutors) so perhaps there's a glimmer of hope for something new here in the mornings. Just need him to get the job and for the post to then stay as it is after he has left it!!

Fingers crossed for him then......:D would it be better paid BB if you were to get the new job?

  • it would be better paid, yes. The post pays around 24k full time so would be 12k. My morning job is 7.5k, so if I got it, I would be on around 22-23k with my afternoon job, the perfect salary really for the next year or so. It's a very long shot but who knows and obviously there's the uncertainty about my afternoon job long term, but I really need out of my morning job here.
