What reg was your old car BB?

DH says it's very unlikey that you'll get the scrapage allowance unless you've got paperwork to prove that you had a new car on order.....but fingers crossed your case goes to some office pleb that just passes it through without quibbling.

P reg. Pooky. They've said it is probably going to be a 'no' but might as well chuck it in the mix really! Well, to be honest I blame Pepe - he told me to do it ;) :rotfl:

Got the details about the Rusty Musicians event - the workshops are miles away - all the furthest flung corners of Dorset, none are even vaguely local and even the dress rehearsal is Bridport (25 miles away) so I'm not going to pursue it. I thought they'd maybe have 1 in Poole, 1 in Bournemouth and then 1 workshop in somewhere like Dorchester but they are all over the far side of the county. Still want a flute though and might research local amateur orchestras.

P reg would probably only get you around £400/500.

It's always worth asking about the scrapage - they can only say no :D

Shame all the orchestra stuff is so far out from you but a great hobby to take up again.

They only have to give you enough to buy a P reg of the equivilant milage/condition etc and of course they go on book price not what it would actually cost you.

    :(

I was hoping for £1000 :( It was in really good condition with a full Honda service history, 90 something on the clock, built in sat nav system a £300 set of alloys (although don't let OH hear this - I always just say 'they're just wheels'! when he goes on about alloys!! ) ;)

Sigh.........might have more debt to pay off than I was expecting then. Poor car, it had years of life left in it :(

I think I will cry if I get that little for it :(

Were the alloys declared on your policy as they are a modification - they charge extra for them?
