realises that 'puter screen is now the right way up, all thanks to notisis :T(everyone else laughed..hmmppp!)

    Sorry :(

    It was funny though :rotfl:

TPA this kitchen picking lark is hard work isn't it. Had a man in today :D, am happy with what he came up with I think. He was very accommodating ;) and helped me a lot. Just need to finalise a few things. Found a FUNKY WORKTOP which I'm considering. My kitchen man says no-one has been mad enough to order it so he doesn't know what it looks like fitted. I think I fit the bill so may help him out :o. Can find the sinks & taps I like but not in budget :(. It's all too hard. Off for a lie down.

  • Evening all, just eaten a KFC and a cream egg (KFC curtosy of an MS, cream egg from hubby:T. Have done three MSs tonight, all written up and now i'm finishing off the Cava from last night:j

Went to B&Q, got the wall paper and paint (went for a grey colour in the end to compliment the wild paper), they had 20% off but still managed to spend £99:eek:

I also picked up a load of wallpaper and boarder samples for mum to use in her card making! With all the textured papers around it would be a crime not to!!

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Today has been a rather expensive 'spendy' day.

Firstly spent £49.99 on new phones:eek:, then another £49.99 on a bread maker:eek: and a further £3.49 for a book to go with said bread maker.

Then we finally went to choose our worktops, thats it, done now and I feel a little a sick we spent £2826:eek::eek::eek:. I really hope we love them when they are fitted, that cost is more than the actual kitchen units:eek: A bit like this: http://www.cargogranite.co.uk/view_product.php?c_id=8&sc_id=64&p_id=2720

The bread maker is coming out of the kitchen funds and the phones out of the electronic replacement funds!!

    I need a lie down

The whole kitchen thing has been really difficult for me, my sensible head says wooooo, slow down, yet the 'I want, I have saved', bit of me says in for a penny in for £, although in this case its a bit in for £100's in for £1,000s:eek:.

If you had told me a while back I would pay that sort of money for a work top, for what is essentially a fairly small work top, I would have told you, you were nuts...nuts I say!:D:o Hubby is funny, he is the one that really wanted the granite, but didn;t really mind which one I chose..............strange man.
