I think I may have forgotten to do a confession on Monday:cool: Ordered a TV for the kitchen/dining room, in my defence it was a blooming good deal and ended up costing us £80 in cash (used some of our Tesco vouchers)and will also get £19 of Tesco points.
This kitchen/dining room is making a massive dent in our savings:eek:. Still I supose in away thats what its for (that and paying off the mortgage!)
Still need to buy plaster, paint, wallpaper, skirting, granite:eek:, fridge freezer, dishwasher, kettle, dining table and chairs, toaster, microwave...erm that all sounds so bad. In our defense most of our electrical items are coming up to needing relpacing, the fridge freezer has to be defrosted daily, the kettle leaks, the mocrowave has some rust on, the toaster and the dishwasher are ok but if we are going to spend a large amount of money on doing the kitchen then I want it all 'right!' I sound like a spolit cow having a tantrum now, but we will not be having a holiday again this year as I would prefer to have something to show for my money and right now kitchen and windows it is. We should be able to sell the dishwasher so thats not totally wasted and am hoping to use the toaster in work to allow for some cheap lunches.
Ermm, think its time I left.........................MFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0 -

Fantastic :T:T:T Of all the things we've spent money on over the years I think new windows were the best :T:j

and I agree totally with you that the kitchen should all be 'right' as you say. Our microwave got banned from the kitchen and now lives in the attic (for emergancies) as I decided it was too ugly for my new kitchen! :rotfl:

Thanks sml and smf.
All the windows and soffit etc. have now been done. I am amazed at what little mess has been made, I had visions of having to redecorate all the rooms, but just a little touching up need in the bedroom everywhere else is fine. (OMG just read that back...it sound soooooo wrong...aw Matron!)
Managed an MS today, all written up now:jworked in my favour as I had ordered our TV from said MShop place so rather than pay for delivery I picked it up saving £5:j. I bought the essentials, milk and curry:p
I am going to advertise a load of bits n peices on AdTrader later so keep your fingers crossed for me!

I might have bought some shoes that cost almost £30, I might have gone out for lunch today, I might have had a takeaway last night.....only might have:o.
I might be in trouble with my monthly spends:eek:
I think I might have to re look at the budget and add some 'going out' funds into it. We don't go out very often however the last couple of weeks we have had some commitments and have actually throughly enjoyed ourselves. I do think this is an important factor for our relationship (any relationship for that matter), there needs to be a balance.:o
We went to see Cesar Millan the dog whisperer last night and he was fantastic, we are already setting into to practice most of what we learnt with amazing, quick results:D
March the 1st update (a week late I know). Despite paying for tiles, windows etc this month, we are still running at an offset of 70.62% which I think is pretty good going only 0.20% down on last month, considering the massive outgoings we have had this month I am please with our progress:j:beer:

That is great TPA all things considered!
I know what you mean about the going out. NIM and I have been out 2 nights this week, and had a fab time both nights, but we've been in a much better mood in the days after too, really happy rather than just tootling about, so we've vowed to do it more often.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -

It's difficult trying to get that balance isn't it? I think if we just had a 'going out' budget of £50 a month we would be happy. I am a home bird at heart anyway so one nice meal out a month would be a fabulous treat.:D
I am going back to the begining of the diary and bagging one of the first few posts to keep an eye on kitchen costs.
