Been to garage, they forgot to order the part in:mad:. Carp, poop n bum, they are officially rubbish and I am officially a girly, i cried.

Went to B&Q on my way home, have done some wall papering on my return, that is, putting up bits of wallpaper with brown tape, to see which looks best! Would post a piccy but cannot work out how too.:o

Edit, this is the real thing, without the brown tape, however it doesn't do it justice, its all touchy feely, looks like it has been hand embroidered
    and it's scrubable!!!

and this time with the link! http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=10517837&ecamp=trf-005&CAWELAID=367514880

  • Aww, thanks you guys...you are so kind to me. I am a right mardy cow most of the time, but then sometimes enoughs enough and i'm a wimp:(

Good news, hubby like the wallpaper, i'm amazed! I'm not sure what he thinks of my papering technique though...you know brown parcel tape:rotfl:

Forgot to say earlier I actually managed a MShop earlier:j

  • Good day today (I think)

Managed to bag some Mshops for Monday for an increased fee (my negotiating skills are improving) also did an extra shift. Took my own lunch to work (last nigts left overs) so all in all a good day money wise.

    Hope everyone is well.

Aw, shucks about the garage :(, hope they are giving you a rebate!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

hello TPA iv jus read thro you diary and want to say hi

the MShoppin sounds interesting, where can i get more info? i love to shop but cant afford to!! would love to be paid for it!!

we just had a new oak kitchen with dark work tops and painted it lime green with different coloured geeny creamy tiles!! i LOVE it! we saved for 3 years to get it and i hated handing the money over but wouldnt change a thing now

we'v got a massive mortgage, no savings, but im loving everyones ideas on MSE, would love to be aiming to be mortgage free or like you to have even 10% in the bank!!! will be following your diary with interest x
  • Hi B-D-J, thanks for your thoughts. Mystery shopping is a bit stressfull at first but you soon get into the swing of things, its not well paid but it all adds up at the end of the month and sometimes you can negotiate bigger fees if a job needs doing urgently.
The best place to get advice is the mystery shopping thread, which can be found here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2284299 Everything you need should be on the first page.

I love the sound of your kitchen!

With regards the savings/overpayments, you will be suprised how quickly they add up once you start.

I've had a fairly quiet day today (for me anyway!), just normal work no Mshops or anything else. Have got an Mshop tomorrow at a supermarket, will get the basics, milk, bread and chocolate:rotfl:with the spends allowance:D.

Most of the windows have been fitted and the facias and soffitts are almost done. Have realised it was (hopefully) money well spent as when the old windows were removed a load of water 'tiddled' out of them!!!

I am going to have a quiet night, catching up with sky+ and surfing the tiniternet!
