  • It is far too easy to spend money isn't it once you start.

Freezing here too today. Got a lovely chicken and chickpea stew in the slow cooker while the eldest was at nursery, and our main plan today is doing some baking i think.

Hope the painting goes ok. I tend to leave it to DH then i can shout at him if it goes wrong rather than be annoyed with myself. :rotfl:

Yes, spending money is suprisingly easy! If I left the painting to DH we would really be in trouble! He is much much worse than I am!

MMmmmmmmmm stew sounds fabulous, I must dig out the slow cooker again - perhaps you can tempt me with some lovely receipies!

  • I always knew me and DIY were not a good combination - I managed to shut the ladder on my thumb, very painful and bruised.......I don't think it is broken as I can still bend it a little bit:(

I have done all the undercoating will probably another 4 weeks until we get good enough weather for me to gloss everything though!

Think I deserve a gin and low cal. bitter lemon!

  • Just eaten my stew and it was delish. I'm not great at recipes i'm afraid. Just a bung it all in kind of gal and it always seems to work. It never seems to go wrong in the slow cooker. We are not that fussy a family to be honest. Good job really.

smlsave :rotfl:You must spend all your time between various MFW'rs sampling their supplies and using hot tubs etc. Sorry, no stew left. Should have popped round sooner. ;)

Ouch to the thumb. With you and taka, i think i will sit on the settee and keep myself in one piece. ;)
  • aw sorry about your thumb TPA... this is why I maintain my "no DIY unless absolutely essential"-stance - its dangerous!! :rotfl:

  • Thumb is very sore today, even had trouble holding a pen...but i'm soldiering on!:p

Managed to do a phone call mystery shop tonight so thats £10 for the kitty, a drop in the ocean compared to all the outgoins over the last few weeks.

I worked on Saturday and am rostered on again for this Saturday so that will go a bit further towards the spends!

Naughty dog has just jumped on DH foot, he thinks it is broken, I think he is being a wimp and is looking for attention:rotfl:
