Well I was nearly at my target of £150 for Breast Cancer Care (£129) so i've gone crazy and upped it to £250:eek: (lets hope I don't crash n burn!) Hubby took sponsor form to work today, lots of people have promised money so fingers crossed, gosh I'm really getting into this, will knock around the neighbours on the weekend and see if they will help out too...anyone any other ideas, am I missing something (other than a brain??) I cannot believe how much more the charity get when it is paid on line....its mad, must try to persuade those who have already promised to give to log on and do it that way.

Its the 10th of the 10th 2010 and the maths have been done.
As of today taking into account the outstanding mortgage taking away monies we have in ISA's the amount we need to clear the mortgage is £25,342.72:j. Considering we bought the house with a £100,000 mortgage in May 2006 I don't think thats too bad all things considered.
We both have 22 paydays between now and my 40th (good job I was born at the end of a month:p) With current interest rates we pay £70.57 in interest per month and make a payment of £600. So thats £529.43 per month (£11,647.46 total between now and the big 40) off the mortgage meaning we need to find a further £13695.26. My trusty laptop caluclator tells me thats an extra £622.52 per month.
Needless to say we would pay off the mortgage in full and leave ourselves with no savings, however I will consider it gone once we have enough to pay it off in full as this is the thinking we have been using since starting this journey,
Suddenly all those silly mystery shops, extra weekend and weekday evening working seem worth while.
Having said that the universe seems to be throwing a curve ball to us at the moment with lots of spends. Pets have cost us a fortune in the last couple of months (but they are worth it....well the cat is anyway!) The pressure washer gave up the ghost today.....I wouldn't mind but I still have 3 teak garden chairs to clean before we pack them away for the winter:mad:. The cover for the table n chairs is well and truely knackered also:mad:. There are lots of trees around here so we cannot possibly leave them uncovered over the winter or we would not be able to restore them.
Started the pressure washing this morning, left hubby doing the table whilst I went to buy teak oil spray £12.98 a can and we need at least 3 cans:eek:
£50 for a basic karcher pressure washer form Tesco (does come with 600 points though) By buying the karcher we can use all the tools we already have.
£38.84 for teak oil:eek:
£29.99 for a new humongous cover for patio furniture:eek:
I did manage to get cash back for the cover and the karcher and the extra Tesco points always help.:)
I also gained a load of extra clubcard points for buying HP ink cartridges for my printer, I use loads of ink whilst doing my mystery shop printing so ordered a load of cartridges, at the time each cartrdige came with 500 points and the coast of a crtridge was about £7.80..bargionous:D.
I am thinking perhaps people would like (they are getting them anyway!) magazine subscriptions that I can purchase out of my millions of clubcard points.

This for the father-in-law perhaps?
OMG moo, you are so naughty, whilst I'm sure he would approve the MIL may never speak to me again!!
I have started spraying the furniture, so far two full cans = 1 table top and two chairs...OMG there are still 6 chairs to be done and the underneath of the table:eek::eek::eek:
One of my work collegues has just offered me her Saturday shift which is really nice of her:A, that will pay for the rest of the teak oil spray:rotfl: Will have to re-think things for next year me thinks!

We must be tight. We do teak oil on an old rag. Not quite as expensive. Then again, we have all our indoor furniture to oil too, particularly where i have had to scrub DS2s scribbles off.
Can't it be covered all the time to help it last longer? We don't do our outdoor stuff every year. Needs doing now but i am tempted to just cover it till next year now.
Sponsered you this morning. As well as doing some internet shopping for the kids for chrimbo despite saying i wouldn't buy much more. God i am lethal with a CC in hand.0
