With respect to undercrackers stained or otherwise, I would rather wear DansDads skiddy pants than go commando in case of any close encounters with cars/buses/cyclists with road rage ...

So much going on in my head.:(
Diet has gone down the pan badly over the last month, having a drink most nights, which in turn leads to raiding the cupboards!
Terrible habbit of eating tea then going straight to the cupboard to get crisps and chocolate-why does that self distruct button come so easy??(and wheres that darn confused smiley when you need it!)

Need to get hubby on board, nothing naughty in the cupboards = a better lifestyle and an easier life for me!

Why oh why do you buy these things in the first place?

Are you still hungry after tea or is it just a habit? Can you finish tea and do something else to take your mind off the contents of the junk cupboard?

Why don't you put all the alcohol and choccies and nice but naughty things into a big box and get rid of 'em or at least tape them up and save them for X-mas.

  • I am as guilty. I never used to buy the stuff really when it was just me and DH, and i buy stuff now with the kids as the excuse and i shouldn't really. My downfall is i get so hungry i end up snaffling while dinner is cooking or when the kids eat their tea a couple of hours earlier than us. I can be great on a weekend when we all eat together at a decent time.

What about making a new habit of going and cleaning/flossing your teeth straight after dinner? Or if i need something sweet i try and make up some sugar free jelly and have that. It was a south beach diet thing that you could have pretty much as much as you could eat, and it is yummy and fairly guilt free. Especially if you do jelly with some chopped fruit in.

Jump back on, and don't undo all your good work. You will be gutted if you put it all back on. And remember christmas is round the corner. You could feel loads better before then and allow yourself a few treats then.

Read somewhere that people that drink diet coke consume more calories after drinking it then someone who drinks coke

The artificial sugar in the diet coke simulates the brain into thinking it is getting sugar that needs to be turned into energy, when no sugar is found, the brain sends out signals to the body to then consume sugar, which leads to binge eating

    Just a thought

(Also coke only advertise on TV 4 months of the year, 2 months before Christmas with coke, 2 months after Christmas with diet coke)

I heard the same thing the other week - must have caught the same thing. I have stopped drinking the diet stuff now when we are out, and i think it may be right. I did it when we went out for a meal and normally i would have had a pudding too, and i didn't fancy one.
