Pfft, you're all show offs! :D I was put down for 40 hours before he'll look to put me in for the test, but he said most learners take 50hrs?! Once I've done a few more lessons I'm going to start pestering my Dad to let me drive to and from work for practise. Just had a phone call from them to book my theory though, scary!

Happy Birthday Dinah! A birthday meal with your nearest and dearest sounds lovely, but you're definitely not old!

I think 24 hours of lessons is about average, depending on whether you have access to a car in between them. I failed my first test too, but wasn't too worried as I left the country weeks later, but I did have to wait about 18 months before I drove again!

Your wedding dress shopping experience sounds horrid! Nothing like trying on someone else's cast offs to make you feel special, eh? I imagined dress shopping to be all relaxed and luxurious with champagne and harp music... But I guess a sample sale is a whole other thing!

thats what I meant about BSM! they want you to learn more so I've heard they stop people from progressing, they invest so much to get each client that they want to keep u! I'm sure you'll be fine though, you can just take it when youre ready im sure

I'm yet to encounter champagne. Or a harp. Or cake. Or even a heater for that matter. Its a horrible experience.

Aye I heard a lot about BSM overteaching as lets face it, thats how they make their money, and is why I decided not to go with a big brand company and doing twice the number of lessons I really needed!

Sod it, I'm gonna go have cake for breakfast.

Ooh yes, I meant to say this too! Is it the lovely 4 bed with the pink room that needs to go?

Yep its that one. Its more expensive than the other house we were looking at though so we need to check how much deposit he'd give us for this one.

I think you've got to be spending big bucks for a fancy experience because I've not come across that treatment either! The first shop I went to I just got 6 tags to mark the dresses I wanted and I wasn't allowed to try any more than that! Not even a cup of tea either! I wouldn't say it's a horrible experience, but it isn't like they make out on TV!

Sample sales are not for the faint hearted! I don't think I'll go to another one!

Hope you enjoy your cake breakfast Dinah! Have to made any headway with your wedding planning? How's The Book coming on?

I found 25 a bit of a strange birthday. It got me really thinking about what I wanted from life. Did I want to settle down or travel more etc etc. I think you have already had this discussion with yourself but I hadn't at that point.

I've been focussing on my sewing book this week, The Wedding Book can come next week as atm its only got 3 pages in it!

NIM asked me what I would want for my fantasy birthday last night, and I realised for the most part my life is as I like it. I'd like to have more holidays/travel more, and most importantly I don't want to be doing my job if I can in any way help it, but other than that I'm where I want to be.
