I know how I feel at the moment, so I'm actually aiming to complete half this list, thats 15 things, and I'll be chuffed with that.

Well I got to 14, but I still think I did it, as I did list no less than 23 items on ebay tonight! Now given I did this through a veil of codiene the quality of those listings might be somewhat variable, but hey, I made the most of free listing. I also stuck a few of them on charity donation to give 25% of sale prices to the earthquake fund. I've also done a mystery shopping report.

We went to town yesterday and my trip of the week was to the ring shop. Turns out I priced them up wrong, mine is £625, NIMs is £325, so I need to find yet more money. Haven't ordered them yet though.

My verey bored maid of honour has made two facebook groups, one for men and one for women involved in the wedding!

Mum asked me to find her a savings account so she can start saving some money towards the wedding (shes paying for my dress, veil, shoes etc), and also my grandad apparently has £11,000 in his halifax account that he thinks he maybe ought to put into savings instead, so I need to find him the best savings or ISA combo I can for this.

    Hi Dinah,

    How are you feeling today?

I had a lovely weekend and ended up ordering my cot and moses basket from Mamas and Papas. They are lovely and can't wait for them to arrive this week. I need to start cooking and freezing meals so I have enough to keep us going when the baby arrives!

So I have a bit of money on my credit card and need to get rid of it before I have to pay interest. I am due some work expenses & a small amount on quidco so that should kick it off.

I also have a mountain of washing to do. I don't know when I will ever get to the bottom of that laundry basket!

Can't wait til I finish for maternity leave:)

    You sound so organised CMD!

Not good today at all, was in a lot of pain overnight, kept me awake.

Weighed in this morning and I'm up at 141.2lbs... need this challenge desperately! Off to a good start today though, had a weight watchers bagel with very thin spread of light marg for breakfast, and if I get hungry before 12.30ish I'm going to have an apple.

  • Morning, hey you didn't do bad considering! How's the knee today? Are you back at work or were you signed off for 4 weeks? Long time! How can I injure myself in a non-painful, non-dangerous, non-long-term way to get that sort of time off??

Well done you for donating to the earthquake fund, I have no money spare unfortunately til payday to do this, unless I used OD money and I don't want to do that :o

I got that fixed 3% ISA at Lloyds which you have to have more than £9k for - that was the best deal I could find but it was last April so may be a different ballpark now.

If you are going to sewing this week they want our folders in. I did a little bit on mine yesterday and feel a bit better about it. I'm sick of my stupid sjirt though and want to get started on my dress!

CMD your organisation continues to amaze me!! How exciting about the cot and basket :)

Morning! Hope everyone has had a good weekend!

The dinner party was nice on Saturday, not really a fancy dinner party but we all had a good time and my chilli went down very well (Nigella Express- best chilli recipe ever!) I drank a little too much wine though, had a headache yesterday! We went to see Avatar yesterday which was very good, and I got really excited because they had an advert for Toy Story 3- yay!

Nice to see you back Poddle, I'm glad you enjoyed SA. I'd love to go at some point, my parents lived there when they were about my age and they've got so many brilliant stories about the country that I want to see what they're always talking about!

When's your due date again CMD? I'm very excited for you! I was holding (well, pretty much kidnapped...) OH's friend's baby on Saturday afternoon, she's 3 months old and absolutely gorgeous! I got so broody! Our friends were all looking at me a bit funnily because they knew what I was thinking and OH was panicking! I have to be sensible and wait though... but I don't want to!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

  • Sorry to hear you are still in pain Dinah :( Have you been signed off again?

I need to donate money to the earthquake fund as well. It is on my to-do list. I'm afraid I can't really read about it at the moment as pregnancy hormones are making me very emotional so OH has been filling me in. He is a softie too though!

    How was your weekend Tete?

Re: being organised. I am trying to get all this done so when I go off on maternity leave I can lie on the couch, watch the Gavin and Stacey box set and stuff my face!!! Can't wait for that :)

Signed off 4 weeks - trust me you don't want to be - I can't do anything! I can't sit at the table or desk, I can't go out, I can't even have a bath if NIM isn't home as I can't get out of it!

I really don't know if I'll be going this week, unlikely to be honest, I can't have my knee down for that long.

Was a bit bold and bought the Lush HSKT tester kit with the full size face mask online yesterday, and bulked out the order a little to get it to £30 so I got a free £10 grab bag. I know I should have saved the money, but I have no bathtime goodies left at all unless you count shampoo, and given how irritated I am at the moment thought the pretty smells might be calming!

You've only got to wait what, about a year and a month till you can start trying? Thats not long at all if you look at it optemistically!

He signed me off for 4 weeks 2 weeks ago, so just still here. I'm calling the practice manager today to see if they've heard anything about my MRI appointment.

Grand thanks, nothing to report really, just quiet - tried to go and see Sherlock Holmes but the heating in the cinema was broken (and they still had the nerve to charge full price for tickets!) so lots of lazing about really :D

    Jealous!!

Birdie, dinner party sounds fab! Making me hungry thinking of chilli, my weight hasn't changed for about 8 weeks even though I've sort of been back on the diet for the last two :o
