Wow Lulu, you're productive - I always have lists like that for my days off but somehow it never gets done! I'm sure you'll have a new job to go to very soon and you'll soon wish you were back at homeWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

How productive are you Lulu? If it was me I'd still be in my pyjamas thinking about what I should do and not doing it!
We are planning on going mad with the decorations for the party! I've been looking and you can get some really fun (but tacky!) decorations, like Hawaiian print shirt garlands and serving plates, and grass skirts to go around tables!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Welcome back Poddle
Sounds like you had an amazing time and I'm looking forward to the new diet challenge! God knows I need it..
Lulu I'm impressed with your productiveness! At least you can get all those rubbish jobs done so you can chill in the evening
Birdie I agree with the others that you should just ask your bridesmaid if money is an issue. It might be a bit awkward but would save a lot of hassle in the long run for both of you. Love the sound of your party! And I must try Nigella's chilli as I have that book. I just bought Rachel Allen's new one and it looks fab so I'm looking forward to trying some stuff out.
Dinah that is a long wait! It must be so frustrating for you sat around cuz you're always busy with something! Are you in major pain or is it just inconvenient?
My stepmum's due date was Thursday and we're still waiting  My Dad rang yesterday and said 'I have good and bad news...' and my heart dropped. With my stepmum's history I was expecting bad news but it was only about money! I felt sick though, was awful!I hope the baby comes soon, I'm so excited!
Cinny you back on the diet wagon? I thought you decided you were happy as you are? But welcome aboard if you overindulged at Christmas like the rest of us!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Thanks ladies, i just feel bad if im sitting around doing nothing, while everyone else is out working.
The tackier the better! You can get plastic coconut cups too, with funky straws. Good for cocktails! What about a limbo competition, or is that going too far off track lol I think you can get Leis (flower necklace thingys) quite cheap too! :j0 -
The party sounds cool Birdie! Are you gonna go all out with the decorations as well?
Dinah, thats rubbish you have to wait so long to get your knee sorted, but like you said you can focus on other stuff in the meantime.
CMD, i would be laying on the sofa and playing on it as much as i could lol, congrats on being so organised!
My first week of being officially unemployed! I feel so useless! Will be posting my CV to the pharmacy today, but still not getting my hopes up. With most other things, the closing dates aren't for a couple of weeks, so trying to stay positive!
So far today i have put 3 loads of washing in, done the dishwasher twice, made homemade soup, prepared tonights dinner, hoovered the whole house, shampooed the whole of downstairs carpet and the bathroom upstairs. I had my nieces and nephew (5, 3 & 2 years old) all weekend, so the house has taken a beating lol. Need to keep myself occupied, so i dont get used to not having a job!
You have had a very productive morning Lulu! Well done to you. It is important to keep busy I think!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Morning everyone,
Been busy on here today I see!
Dinah - that is so annoying about the scan, I am not surprised it is driving you mad not being able to do anything.
Birdie -Make sure you do what you want to do for your wedding, the carribean party sounds fab!
Lulu - you sound very organised! I am hoping to get lots of hosework done next week when I am off work. OH has a mad moment yesterday and started hoovering, was a bit of a shock.
Zig - Bet you are excited for your new bro or sis!
CMD - When are you on maternity leave? My friend has been since begining of December. I would wait longer like you though as would rather spend more time once the baby is born. I don't think my friend intends on going back to work though....
I have been spending all morning training up our two new assistants. Is hard as need to try and fit in my own work as well.0 -
I am so so so tired!! Gym was hard work today and went to another x-biking class which has left me exhausted!
Have cancelled our gym memberships, we are paid up until the end of Feb and then we have to find some free things to do. The manager was really disappointed, said since they sent the letters out about the increase in fees loads of people have cancelled - nothing he can do though as thats what head office have told him. Anyway we will be £66 better off a month now, there was no way i was going to pay £88 for memberships!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

Ours is a pretty small gym, no where near enough equipment for them to warrant the increase in fees. I was happy paying £33, but a £10 increase each is rediculous! One of the reasons we picked them is because they were one of the cheapest, now they're not! And the money would be so much better off in our moving house savings.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I did it, I did it! I started a thread *excited* and here it is forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=28965139#post28965139
Unfortunately, I haven't mastered the art of adding the link in a sophisticated way, but still!
Birdie, your party sounds amazing already!
Lulu, I'm amazed at your productivity - I'm sure you'll get a job in no time
Zig, how exciting about a little brother or sister! (do you know which yet?) Is it going to make you mega broody?
Well done on the x-biking, Flower! And good news about cancelling the gym - I'm sure you'll find something else to do instead, and it's a big saving towards your moving out fund. I'm quite looking forward to getting back to the gym actually, although I better go tonight or I'll probably put it off another week!
ETA: Oh bum, I don't think I even added the link rightOops.
