Morning, I am here, just recovering from the hammering the CC took yesterday due to car service and new glasses.

    Car - £195 - It was a full service
Glasses - Did get a discount. Didn't have to pay for eye test as had a voucher from work and I get 50% discount on frames due to having contact lenses.

I'm here too! In between applying for part-time jobs!!!

I saw my ideal job in Ireland and the money is amazing but it is full-time and I just can't bear to leave Max for longer than 3 days a week so looks like I will just have to forget about it. Its a shame but money isn't everything. I couldn't stand it if he formed a bond with his childminder instead of me!

I think you do right CMD, I don't really believe in this 'having it all' stuff, I think the child must suffer a little if it doesn't spend enough time with their parents, especially when they're babies. Shame though, job sounds good! Do you want to move back to Ireland?

I went spinning for the second ever time last night and surprisingly I feel OK, I think I'm doing it right as I'm totally knackered during the class and walk home on jelly legs afterwards but I expected to feel more day after pain! When I was waiting to go into the class there was another one finishing up called Bums, hips and tums... I think I need that! Going to give it a go next week, I need to sort my flabby bits out once and for all; my Mum was poking my belly and asking 'What's all that?!' on Sunday so I think it needs to go!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Lol at your Mum poking your belly - thats like something my mother would do too! Glad the spinning went well :)

Yeah - I think I would miss out on too much of Max if I went back full-time. Don't get me wrong - if I had to I would go back but een though it will take longer to pay off our debts, I would rather go back part-time

I'm here. Not much to say really. Builder situation is hellish but we'll get it resolved eventually. I don't like that they have our house key, makes me really uneasy. Looking for a replacement car at the moment, we're thinking a diesel 4x4 as I have to work on the moors a lot and in winter it can be a bit ropey. I don't know if anyone remembers the year I got the car stuck in a shadowy hollow between two hills and it was entirely sheet ice and I couldn't get out!

Diet starts again on Monday. It starts Monday as that is payday and I can buy real food rather than living off leftovers and whatever is to hand.. I'm back up to 142.8lbs  - another 10lbs and I'll be back to my heaviest ever so I need to take this in hand.

The 4x4 sounds like a good idea Dinah, don't want you getting stuck again! Good luck with the diet as well!

CMD - I don't know what I am going to do when I go back to work after having baby. It is a bit difficult getting part time hours at my work. Hopefully will be able to get flexible hours and also because OH works shifts he will be free some days in the week so hopefully he can do childcare then. I also hate the thought of baby being in childcare 5 days a week and I haven't even met it yet!

Birdie - well done with the spinning, sounds like you are working hard anyway.

Hope the builder situation gets sorted out soon. It sounds horrible and you sound a bit down but that is understandable and especially after teh hype of the wedding and the honeymoon. Good idea to nip the weight in the bed, I put on a stone the year after I got married and strangely it was only when I had Max that I got back to my pre-wedding weight!

The thoughts will feel even stronger after you have the baby Wendz. The attachment you feel for them is unreal! Sounds like the ideal scenario with your OH working shifts :)
