Hey Guys
Cinny that's amazing news!! Tell us everything... I am still on here loads, but over in Memorygirl's thread on DFW.
Dinah hope you get the builder carp sorted, that's most unnecessary stress. How's the debt-busting going, are you matched betting like a champion? Aargh I must get into it one of these days.
I am having a bit of a bum day, I decided to move onto campus so I didn't have to take the motorbike taxis, but now I am here I think it's awfulIt's really dirty in some parts, and a bit depressing. No-one else is staying here so I am sat here all on my own. The internet is down, thank goodness for Orange mobile broadband. It has been a godsend here. What should I do - give it a try and then if I don't like it move back to the other place? Decisions, decisions....

Sounds like the other place was more sociable Lara. Are the motorbike taxis quite dangerous? Can you get normal ones?

I'm sorry to hear you're feeling glum Lara. I'd say give it a while to see if you get used to it but I suppose that depends on how dirty and depressing it is! What does your OH say, if he's anything like mine he'll know what's best for you before you do! Other than that is it going OK?
You're a bunch of foodies with knowledge... we're hosting Christmas dinner for OH's family this year since his parents new house is too small to fit 7 people round a table and OH kindly offered up our place and I've been thinking about what to do (MIL bless her isn't the best cook so I want to show them how it's done!) and I need to know whose path to follow... Nigella or Delia? Which one? Any ideas?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Little bit of news from my end. Me and OH have a house, and we're moving in next month. Part of me is thinking 'FINALLY' but the other is thinking 'I'm only 19, I'm a baby!' Still, really excited!
How exciting!!We want to know all the details, rented/bought? Whats it like? Details details please!

Thanks Cinny! Such exciting news for you too! Have you been picking out all your things to have in the new house?
Lara - sorry to hear you are a bit down today, hope things get better. Must be hard being in a strange place.0 -
Thanks for the virtual hugs you guys. Honestly I'm in bed and there are some weird eggs of something about 10 inches from my head
I really don't like it here but I have booked to December, although it's not exactly a place where you leave your card details for security(!).
What will I do? Tomorrow I'll call the other place to see if they have room for me to come back (but I am pretty sure they will). What will I say to the woman here? Just that I have been offered a cheaper room and is it okay if I leave? I find this sort of stuff really hard to deal with. Help!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

You poor thing Lara. You need to move I think. It sounds really grotty and you were happy in the other place and had proper internet as well didn't you (important when you are so far away from home).
Just think up a plausible excuse for the lady and tell her you are going. One excuse could be that you didn't realise there is no internet and you need it at all times for your research and to keep in contact with your OH/family. Don't feel bad about leaving - you need to be happy over there

Thanks everyone
It's a rented 3 bed semi, one of the properties from our other company so the rent is a bit of a steal. We're being given a lot of stuff which is lovely and just need to buy the super big and really little bits. We've picked out things like the cooker, washing machine and sofa. Yay! My Sister is taking me to the trafford centre on friday to buy us something 'totally useless' and some doughnuts
Lara, I think CMD is right. Just come up with a good excuse and move back *fingers crossed they have space!* Really doesn't sound very nice there
Birdie, I say NigellaMainly because of those mini christmas puds, and the chilli jelly!
DippyKitty, I wouldn't be moving out if it wasn't with OH/the rent was so cheap. I'd be staying at home too but we seem to be seeing each other less and less atm, make sense and we've got to go sometime!0 -

Jealous!! Would love a three bedroom place, then I could have a craft room and OH could have an xbox roomI guess I can cope with two bedrooms for the time being :rotfl:
We've got our first inspection for our house tomorrow, i've gone on a complete freaky cleaning spree, even though the house is pretty much spotless most of the time anyway.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

Oh dear me Lara, get out ASAP you poor thing! Don't worry too much about the woman at the grot-hole... just say circumstances have changed and you've got to go!
I've finally decided that the flat is cold and it's time to put the heating on... and I don't know how it works! Brrrrrrrrrrr.....Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
