That's fantastic news Tete! :j It's a good time to get all the essentials as there are loads of sales on, get shopping! There will be plenty of people willing to give you extra furniture that they've got lying about too, just get the word out that you're in need so you've got something to sit on when you move in!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Thanks girls
Getting in a mild flap over all the things we're gonna need but it's all good
Definitely looking on ebay yeah watching a couple of things on there now...
Trapeze sounds fun Poddle, I'd have thought being small was an advantage in that kind of thing - I always blame my tallness for my lack of co-ordination and being able to do anything remotely activeWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Congratulations Swinstie! That sounds like a really cute proposal!
Tete! SO pleased for you! :j How exciting! At least you'll have pretty things in your house even if you have nothing to eat with!
How lovely Birdie that your OH is thinking ahead for kids, you must be so pleased. I like the chair too but that is quite expensive! Enjoy spending your early inheritance!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

That's fantastic news Tete, so chuffed you got the house! When I got mines, all I moved in with was an iron - and I never iron!!
Yip, wine glasses is all you need x0 -
Congratulations Tete! Bet you are thrilled! Is the house completely unfurnished? Will be exciting getting all the bits together, I loved it.
Cinny - I have just started an online savings account that should be open soon so when I have finished paying my Dad (next month yay!) will start saving for possible wedding fund etc. Exciting! I think it is good to have it on online banking so you can see it.
Trapeze sounds good! You will be brill in no time Poddle.
OH and i def agree about the wine glasses Swinstie!0 -
Moved some pennies into our moving out account this morning. All my savings have been soaked up the past couple months, with driving, car stuff, holidays ect so I'm basically starting from scratch again. Put all my savings accounts back on 'show' so hopefully every payday when I check my bank I'll see how low they are and decide I best put money away before I spend it!
I do that too. I'm a bit OCD about it to be honest and if there is like £65.67 in the account, I have to transfer the 67p over to the 'surplus' account (the SRE fund in this case) and often the £5 to so it's all nice and round. It's surprising how much it does mount up though!Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »:j:j:j Guess what?!:D:D (Subject to the terms of the tenancy agreement being OK...) We get the keys on Monday! Can't possibly move in then of course at such short notice, but hopefully next weekend! I think I'm a bit in shock as I really wasn't expecting it to happen for us, and now I feel more relieved than anything that we're not going to be back to square one.
OMG we have absolutely nothing to go in a house haha, the sort of bits and bobs I've been collecting are picture frames, wine glasses, plant pots ... nothing practical like kettle or cutleryNever mind though eh? :rotfl:
Congrats!!That's fantastic news.

Thanks (again) girlies, it feels like it's been a long time coming and I am dead chuffed Wendz
Been looking at crockery in the HoF and Debenhams sales but even in the sale they're still a bit expensive! I did see a lovely milk jug in the shape of a cow for £6.40 though, but I resisted. What I didn't resist was an enormous platter in the shape of a fish, £4 in the charity shop
Didn't realise quite how big it was as it's a big shop, but even in the office it's massive so in a little house it might be a bit ridiculous. Haven't told OH I've bought it yet
I like this set on Amazon but not sure what OH will make of the floweryness! Yeah it's completely unfurnished apart from a fridge! So at least my wine will be cool as that's obviously what I'm going to be living off!!!
How exciting that you'll have your dad paid off next month Wendz! Will be so nice to see your savings going up rather than watching the debt creep downWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0
