    Hello everyone,

Dinah - sounds like the house is coming along, how exciting! Everything always costs more than you think as you forget about things. We have blinds but really need to get some curtains for our room as OH can't sleep during the day when he is on nights, is too light.

We didn't have our references go through till day before we moved in to our flat eek!

Tete hope the landlord picks you for the house.

Cinny - the fake bake party sounds really good!

Birdie - I was getting all broody this weekend as we saw OH's nieces and I love them to bits. The older one said 'Auntie Wendy is Uncle Daryl your best friend?' awww so cute!

We had a good weekend at home , saw mine and OH's family sat and then went out with some friends sat but drove. Was still dancing and had a great , cheap night. OH is on the car insurance now so he was practicing driving with me at the weekend, a tad scary but he is a good driver. He is putting in for his test soon.

Haha, we went to see OH's little niece a few weeks ago and I haven't met her many times, after we'd gone she said to OH's sister that I was really nice and "is she Uncle Alan's daughter?"

I'd be hopeless teaching anyone to drive, rather you than me!

Awww you've got to love kids and the way their mind works, and the fact that they've got no brain filters! My friend is a teacher and one of the kids in her class kept asking her when she's having her baby and wouldn't believe that she's not actually pregnant, just a little tubby! She was quite miffed by the end of the day :rotfl:

Wendz you're so brave going out with your OH in the car whilst he's learning! I put OH on the insurance in Feb but we realised after a few months that we've no spare money for driving lessons so took him off again... and I breathed a sigh of relief! I'm dreading it because I know we'll fall out! I'm sure he'll be a good driver, he's been told by the fork lift instructor at work that his depth perception and reaction time are second to none... but I know this means he'll take what I see as risks because I'm really cautious and I'll scream at him!

Oh dear, well at least you're honest about it!

I think you have to have a thick skin to be a primary teacher! One of the kids in my friend's mum's class pointed to her upper lip once and said "you've got a beard just there" - the little booger!!

Lol I couldn't teach anyone to drive - I'm a very cautious driver too and I'm nervous about other cars, so I think I'd just have them driving around car parks over and over again!

Just realised I'm exactly 1/3 of the way to my goal wedding weight. Considering there is only 6 1/2 weeks left I need to find a way to step it up a notch as its taken me 4 weeks to get to this point.

NIMs parents are now tearing one another apart. Its all fun.

Cinny, NIM has asked me to ask if a male member of youlr family threatened to sue a market researcher who called last night... abstract I know.

My Mum was terrible when I was learning, she'd clutch onto the side of the door and scream at me if she thought I came out of a junction too soon. I couldn't teach someone, mainly because I've already forgotten half of what I learnt!!

Tete - Sorry to hear about the house, but there's still a chance you'll get it! The landlord won't use you having cats as a bad mark against you, he wouldn't have said you could have them if he was going to do that, surely?

Dinah - Very odd! But tell NIM with considering most of the men in my family are mad, it's possible!

My Mum was OK when I was learning but I only went in the car with Dad once... we didnt speak for a while after that as it did not go well! Saying that my Mum still clutches the door when I turn corners as if I'm going to skid round rally style! It's so annoying!

I dont really know what to suggest for losing extra weight Dinah, have you googled sedentary exercises? I don't know if toning tables will be too hard on your knee, may be worth checking it out though?

What are NIM's parents arguing about now?!

My dad was quite bad when teaching me to drive (or rather taking me out while I was learning) - didn't like going off the industrial estates, which is no good for building confidence on the roads.

I don't know, maybe if we'd been the only people interested he'd be OK with it, but might prefer no pets. We do have a lot going for us apart from that but just trying not to think about it too much either way as there's nothing we can do. Was perusing rightmove just now and spotted an artists impression of a bungalow in a quiet cul-de-sac of five other bungalows, ready to move into 'immediately' - it's the development at the back of our house where one has been built but the inside isn't anywhere near read - no plaster on the walls or plumbing in, and another has been built but doesn't even have the doors on, and has been standing there for a few weeks like that with the rain getting in. The rest of the plot is very much building site, which you have to go through to get to the two half-built ones. I think it's shocking they can advertise them at this stage as rental properties, and use fake pictures too. *rant over*

Dinah do you really need to lose any more weight? You must be a rake by now! Can't suggest much really, maybe drink loads of water to reduce bloating?

Don't know what a toning table is! I'm on the stationary bike and cross trainer every day though to try to build up the knee.

Oh typical divorced parents - NIM invited an old family friend (who his dad hasnt liked since he dated his mum) as this bloke has been really supportive and is just a good chap, NIMs mum called his dad to check he was okay with this bloke coming, his dad said 'yes so long as I dont have to have anything to do with him', his mum got really upset and said he's now not coming where he's not wanted as he's too honorable, NIM is upset as he chose who to invite and yet they're basically overrulling him and he wanted this bloke here, and its just all a huge faff which is resulting in none of his side coming!

Grr, it's your day (you and NIM) and it should be about who you want there! I can see this man's point that he doesn't want to cause aggro on your day but it shouldn't have to be like that! Why can't people act like grown-ups, honestly!
