Grr, it's your day (you and NIM) and it should be about who you want there! I can see this man's point that he doesn't want to cause aggro on your day but it shouldn't have to be like that! Why can't people act like grown-ups, honestly!

Poor NIM - hope he is okay. It can't be nice having your Mum and Dad behaving like children.

The daft thing is they've all said they'd be polite and wouldn't cause fuss - but NIMs mum thinks it would be 'disresfectful' for this bloke to go if NIMs dad doesn't want him there as he is a more important person! Surely NIM is even more important on this day

Well you would think so. And it doesn't sound like NIM is the type to demand a lot from his parents. I hope they manage to sort it out.

Oh dear, it sounds like everyone has got their knickers in a twist, surely they should all realise that that they're coming to see NIM get married, they don't have to sit together and be all matey! There will be plenty of people there so it will be easy enough for them to avoid each other without making a scene! As for the disrespectful comment, it's disrespectful to overrule NIM's wishes for his wedding day!

Toning tables are pretty much what they sound like, a room of tables and chairs that you sit in/lie on and they move certain areas and you push against them as a low impact workout that result in getting more toned. I love them as if you work hard enough with them you see results and it's quite relaxing too. The Powerplate may be bad for you knee but worth looking into also.
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Poor NIM (and you), what a nightmare! Hope the parents stop arguing soon. The others are right you two are the most important thing and what you want.

OH has had lessons on and off for 5 years and where he is in the police i am not too worried about him making risks.

I am not trying to persuade him we should go to New York this year, looking very expensive though. I have been before but would love to go back and he has never been.

Goodness, sounds like they're acting a bit childish! Hope you get it sorted out. Couldn't NIM call the guy and say how he's quite upset he won't be at your Wedding, and is there any chance he'd reconsider?

Ahh, New York! Me and my Sister have been texting each other about it this morning, getting all excited and we're not going until 2012 :o Will be an 'American' year for holidays though, as me and OH are wanting to get married in 2012 and have our honeymoon in Las Vegas (We are a very classy couple, yano!)

Noo, you didn't miss anything interesting like that! Me and my OH have a kind of unspoken engagement, he asked me a couple months ago if I'd marry him one day and it's just kind of hung around us for a while. Then we had a proper talk a few weekends back. The whole 'moving in, getting married, having a tribe of children' talk. And we decided we'd get married in 2 years time, as it gives us time to move in together and get some savings so we can have a good start at married life. I doubt I'll get a proper engagement now, but that doesn't really matter!

Aw it's all good though - you'll have to make it a condition that he still has to ask you properly though :) My OH now has it in his head that he'll only marry me if he gets to wear a suit like Snoop in the new Katy Perry video (oh where is that rolly eye smiley when you need it?!) - not sure he'll feel the same when I buy the fabric and make one for him though moo-ha-haaa!
