Didn't get there in time
So we went and peeked in the windows - she's left it really filthy! It's more of a gut it and start again than I thought, but the conservatory is a lot bigger than I remember, and the garden more private. Looking forward to getting the keys tomorrow and going and having a poke around our new house

I think she's angry she had to leave it - she clearly liked it to put in such a nice kitchen and flooring, but the garden now looks like a wilderness!
Sold the greenhouses from the Tesco deal today, so that's £45 I have beside me now. I think I'm going to look for a local Freecycle, try to get some furniture for the new house that way. Things like bookcases or cupboards. My brothers best friends parents are moving from their amazing 1.8million old rectory in the next few weeks too, into a slightly smaller (still 6 bed!) modern house as sadly the hubby is loosing his sight. They've invited us around on Sunday morning to see if we want some of their furniture, as they have too much and were just going to offer it to the removal men!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I also got quite distracted - today I spent about 5 hours starting to sew my veil. Just to attach the lace around the edge of it it's going to take around 80 hours!!! Still, hopefully it'll be worth it...Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Dinah and Tete, I found this pattern (its a print it and stick it all together job but - its free!) I want to mak it after exams I think as it could make a nice work summery dress and I need a total wardrobe rethink after uni finishes! (boo! no more hoodies and leggings every day
) anyways - I know you both have a lot on but it sounds like youre both really coming on with your sewing!
On a money note, I have posted this on the savings thread, but Dinah I know you have a head for figures and I wondered if you or anyone could help. I think this is right but I am not too confident, I'm basically just trying to make the most of the money I have been saving and stoozing my student loan throughout uni! I know its only like 1% different but thats about £70 over the yar (I think) and if its in my current account it will be more instant access so I can pay my credit card off for the china trip I put on it etc...?- I just got my lloyds current account turned into a vantage account. (4% on balances of £5,000-£7,000) if you pay in £1000 a month
- I don't earn £1000 a month, so will need to do this via some money moving
- I have currently £8,500 sitting in my lloyds incentive saver (no interest for the month if you withdraw) interest rate 3% - get paid the interest on the 26th.
This means I would lose out on 3% interest on about £2000 for one month (approx £5) but start getting the 4% on the rest of the money?
Also, I didn't get an isa yet for this year because I haven't properly looked.... Is the above plan the best course of action?0 -

Great news about the house Dinah
Hope you got the keys today. But what a bloody rotter leaving it all mucky!! I can understand her not wanting to leave (that Kitchen!!) but to leave it so messy and unkept, by the sounds of the garden, is crackers.

I was going too, but then that fades and I don't really want it too. So I'm going to just have black now. Really very excited!
NIMs stag do does sound pretty fun, I like him getting his friends to pitch in with some DIY-ing, haha! Very clever!
Hope everone is having a nice weekend! How bloody hot is it?! OH and Me went to Flamingo Land yesterday on the way home and it was about 30deg at lunchtime. I actually wanted to die. Camping was great though, really can't wait to go again. Will be cheaper next time too, as this time around meant a lot of buying pricey things! So I'm feeling pretty broke. I did forget how lovely fellow-campers are, it's like as soon as you pitch up you're family or something!0 -
It was £50 for an oven and hob, local pick up only on ebay.
Bargain price i agree, but am going to be MSE here (feel free to tell me to mind my own business) - having just bought your own house surely that £50 would have been better off putting towards your house renovations or wedding shortfall? Dont want you to think im being nosey and it is very generous of you to buy it for your mum, but surely its not your responsibility. Just dont want to see you falling back into debt after we all saw how hard you worked to get out of it in the first place!!
Cinny - glad to hear you had fun camping! I'm pretty sure we will be going camping somewhere this year, just need to decide where first!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0
