Mum says so, says she's really thrown herself into it with gusto.

Boys could go to Dublin for £65 Saturday morning to Sunday evening, or £80 Friday evening to Sunday evening. I need contact details of key mates of his find out if they would rather do something local or if they'd like a lads weekend away. Is it wierd I'm organising his stag do? I figure Dublin would be ideal as I could organise the travel and accomodation, and ask his brother to organise things to do when they are there, fulfilling his best man role nicely.

If I was being picky Tete I'd say that dress looks more very early sixties, but with enough petticoats (and a poodle...) it'll look fifties!

Dinah, I've got to say, it is kind of weird that you're organising NIM's stag do! OH doesn't even know where his is (although he's been told to bring his passport) and he's not paying a penny, his friends are planning it all for him. He's actually got 2 friends (who are brothers) sorting it for him, the younger one comes up with the mad ideas and the older one is left to organise it! Has NIM got no-one to organise it for him? It's supposed to be the last hurrah... no ladies involved! You're not even supposed to know where he's going! I'll just be sat at home hoping that he comes home with eyebrows!

Bummer about the lace! I think it'll be worth it to get the extra lace rather than making it shorter, you chose the length for a reason!

Have to agree with Birdie - it is a bit weird. Are none of his friends going to organise it for him? What about his best man? My BIL2B ( in 2 weeks!!!) went on his stag a month ago and his best man organised it and he didn't have to pay a penny all weekend. Myself and the 2 bridesmaids organised my sisters hen a month ago and again, she never spent a penny all weekend and that included a 90 minute hot stone massage for her and 2 nights in a hotel.

Lol it took a lot of pursuading for him to have a stag do at all. In his words 'I have more fun with you than the lads, I'd rather go away with you for a weekend'. His best man is his brother, who is in ireland, and doesn't know the area over here, plus he's the polar opposite of NIM, his idea of a good time would be pickling his liver - NIM really isn't the jocky type. I cracked this evening and told NIM the two options as I can't do it for him with no male input, and he told me he didn't want to go away, he wanted cheap and local and didn't want to put pressure on his mates to pay for things as some aren't well off. So its sorted, dad is going to organise a day of 4x4 driving in the dales for them all, then they're going for a meal and drinks in town, then crashing on air beds in the new house. The next day he wants to set up a bbq and have a decorating day with the lads, and throw in a few beers along with the paint stripping for good measure.

Hi Dinah - I think NIM is going to have a fantastic stag do, there seems to be so much pressure on people to have very exotic nights/weekends - I was even invited to a WEEK's holiday for one once!!! and am glad that NIM is going to do something that he will be very comfortable with rather than following the herd when he's not happy about it :)

NSDs are going badly so far! Yesterday I needed some more pins as I literally ran out halfway round the veil, I met a friend for dinner, and I bought my mum a new oven (hers has been closing with a block of wood for 2 years now!).... this morning the lovely Zig sent me a 20% off Kurt Geiger code, so that was another downfall. Oh well, tomorrow is another day! (When I will no doubt need to buy paint or something!)

A new oven?! Errr.... that's a slight overspend don't you think?!

NIM's stag do sounds really good, and an added bonus for you- free labour for a day!

Which KG shoes did you get?
