I think that dress should be pretty warm Tink, esp with thick tights - I always find parties are pretty warm anyway, once you've had a drink and a dance! (And my nickname at home is Eskimo Nell!)
Just been charity shopping and got myself a nice work dress, a summer dress which I'm not sire of and may become a beach bag, and a long Monsoon tweed skirt which I'm going to use to make little cats and things ... all for £6, I'm chuffed!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Love the dress Tink! If only I weren't so wobbly I'd be after one! I like the sound of the gold accessories too, you'll have to show us what you look like when you're all dolled up for the party!
Sounds like you got some good buys too Tete! How clever are you getting now, buying skirts to turn into things?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Sounds like you've got some fab bargains there Tete! Perhaps I should start having a look around the charity shops and see what I can find!
Loving the dress Tink! Hope the revision goes well.
I've had to nip to the Post Office to post more Amazon sales and I'm absolutely freezing now and definitely not in the mood to get going on my work.ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -

Well it's certainly cheaper than buying the fabric new!!dippykitty wrote: »Sounds like you've got some fab bargains there Tete! Perhaps I should start having a look around the charity shops and see what I can find!
You have to use your imagination a bit sometimes but it's worth it! I know what you mean about the cold, I almost broke my neck on some slush earlierWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Very true! I'd love to get into sewing but I just can't seem to get into it right now. I keep saving bits of old clothing because the fabric is nice and I might want to make something with it (I've actually cut out the bottom bits from a load of clean old knickers because the print or colour is nice! Sometimes it pays to wear big pants!) but I have no idea what I plan on doing with all of this fabric! I've got no sewing 'tools' either and I think OH would go mad if I brought another hobby into the flat, it's bursting at the seams already!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Afternoon everyone!
Starting to get all excited about my holiday now. Had a bit of a freak out earlier though, last time i went anywhere remotely warm i was a large size 12, im now a small 10 so all my summer clothes are far too big.
OH took me to some sales, i spent £22 and got enough stuff to last me for the whole week we are there - so pretty pleased with that!
Only other thing i have done today is go to a cross-biking class (its the new spinning apparently, but burns even more calories) - why on earth do i do it to myself??Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Hey Flower, bet you are excited! One of my colleagues went to Barca for Christmas and he says they wore jackets/coats, though didn't need scarves and gloves - so it might not be as warm as you're expecting?
Don't like the sound of that class at all, I went spinning once and it's not for the faint-hearted!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
