  • My local FF (in Derby) has a fresh veg and fruit section so I'm guessing they would do chopped leeks in that part?

We love FF bacon - great value at £2.50. Also buy they icelollies for summer. Curly fries are lovely too & they sell Pataks jars at a snip.

I paid £1 for my frozen chopped leeks there last time. Can't remember the size bag but it was a good size, same as Morrisons own I think.

Thank you OP for starting this post. I get quite a few Capital Bond vouchers each month (around £30) as an incentive award and whilst it would be great to blow this on nothing at all, I try and use it in either Farmfoods or Iceland and then I feel it really is saving me money on housekeeping. Both companies seem to be strong in processed foods and I would rather have simple and uncomplicated, but all your comments on Farmfoods are a big help in planning for me. The Nicky loo rolls I agree is excellent and the cupboard under my stairs will bear witness! I have a big freezer to go through (mostly UFO's - unidentifed frozen objects) but once these are clear I am looking forward to a big Farmfood shop. Two where I live.

Agree that a lot of Farmfoods stuff is processed but I go there for...Nicky toilet rolls (of course:)) and the kitchen roll is good too (£1 for 2 huge rolls), kippers, sugar, tins of peas and carrots (good stand-by), some frozen veg (peas are £1 for 1.5kg at the moment) plus milk although I wouldn't make a special trip.

I'll try the bacon next as I'm using up my last Lidl specials.

Milk always has good dates as they sell pretty much what they bring in that day. The milk offer has been on for ages. they don't have dated offers like Tesco so you only tend to find out something has gone up when you go in for it IYKWIM?
