    Here you go:
    Bacon Roast Chicken & Potatoes

I only used 1/2 chicken as only hubby and i for dinner kids were out

Thank you so much for the recipe. Sounds like it'll be fabulous and I've got 3 whole free range chickens sitting in the freezer from a recent farmer's market bargain offer so I'll portion up one of them to try this with.

Apologies for the delay in responding. This thread had dropped quite a long way down before I came back to check.

That's this week's something new sorted, and looks fairly healthy too.:)

I quite like the look of some of the veg dishes (roasted sprouts, potato, cabbage and tallegio mmmm) and the risottos (esp the farro one, and the pasta one)
I also got jamies 15mm, and kitchen diaries 2, both of which are looking good for new recipes :D

yeah i need another look through but Im not a massive pasta eater - still I will be cooking something different!

Love Jamie and the 15 min is the only one I haven't got but I must resist :)
  • I got Mary Berry's baking bible. There looks to be some delicious recipes in it - any recommendations on where to start?

I REALLY wouldn't resist the 15 minutes one. Its really good, got loads of recipes (all relatively healthy, less than 700cals I think) easy ingredients... Much better than 30min meals as no puddings etc to cook as well (we never have puds really) and all seem like would actually be cookable in 15-20 mins. (or a bit longer if you don't do the convenience stuff like ready cooked rice etc)

    Sorry. I haven't helped you resist have I? :D:rotfl:

hubby bought me a Sophie Grigson cook book for xmas, so have made a cincinatti chilli for dinner, its been slow cooking all day and smells yum.
  • My son would like to cut his food bill. Mine for the two of us is under 40 and his is under 60. So I suggested to him that he looks in the freezer and picks three items or less. Then put in google recipes x+y+z. I am hoping this will work for him.
