Igamogam - the HB mutton saag recipe is one that's been on my 'to try' list for a while, so I'd be really interested to know what you think of it.

Last night's pigeon pie recipe wasn't a keeper - it was rather too sweet for my taste, thanks to the caramelised onions, and the sauce was far too thin, too. I really enjoyed the pigeon, though, so that's on my 'cook again' list, albeit in a different form next time.
Back after a very long break!

The one pot Bacon Roast Chicken & Potatoes was gorgeous (a tad too hot will def reduce the 2tbsp chilli flakes to 1tbsl)

Shame about the chocolate and pecan bread and butter pudding! I thought that sounded lovely so I was going to try it if it worked out for you.

Mind you, I've never actually made a normal bread and butter pudding, so maybe I should do that first anyway. :rotfl:

Lizling i think it was the recipe rather than the concept - i made a delicious bread pudding with cake before and that was lovely - somewhere i have a recipe for bread and jam pudding think i will adapt that one and try the chocolate one again

I made this today for my brothers birthday Banoffe marshmallow cake http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/12972/banoffee-marshmallow-cake.

Only made it in two layers as the reviews said it was too sweet otherwise.

This is going on my "to try" list! Minus the ham. Sounds gorgeous:j

I love spaghetti and pasta so much and could eat it every night but the wholegrain/brown varieties are so much more expensive than the Value stuff :(

The other two things I'm going to try when I've been to T£$co for ingredients are sweetcorn fritters and scone based pizza - think this is the stuff they used to serve at school, bring back the memories!

Oh CompBunny they sound delicious - can you share recipes??

Am def gonna made that herb bread...well actually I'm not DD is lol!

Haven't done much cooking this week as we were out on Monday and Wednesday, Tuesday night daughter was out, hubby was at work so baby and me had very boring hotdogs that needed using up - got to say really enjoyed

Sister made a really tasty dinner that I will def be making - roasted veg sprinkled with chilli flakes and cooked, wholemeal pasta cooked and drained.

Add roasted veg to creme fraiche, season and mix well with pasta...serve yum!
