Last night I made a sweetcorn and spinach tortilla from here and it was really nice. Doesn't look very appetising, but it was very tasty!

Tonight I made this. It was quite nice, but I don't think i'd make it again. I used a sachet of coconut cream and it was a bit too rich for me. No picture as to be honest it just looked like a bowl of pink rice :p

Today i made cottage pie for dinner which is new for me and from the ministry of food i made parsnip and ginger soup this is for my lunch tomorrow. I had to add in extra ginger then the recipe said as i wanted more of a gingery taste. Sorry no pictures, will try to keep my phone nearby when i make new things.

This week i also made finger licking chicken wings http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/535036. These were easy to prepare and tasted great. As i did not have tabasco i used hot pepper sauce instead. Now am off to decide my new recipe for the week ahead.

Very quiet on here this week.

Well I made Curry Queen's basic sauce and Tarka Dal. With the basic sauce I did Chicken Korma which was lovely.

Today I have combined what was left of the Basic Sauce with the Tarka Dal and with a few additions as per the recipe and a cooked chicken breast out the freezer, have created Chicken Dhansak which I will have for tea tonight.

The Dhansak is good too, wee bit of bite from a green chilli and chilli powder but still not too hot.

Having read most of the thread these recipes are on I found they were based on a book by Kris Dhillon called The Curry Secret.

Well..........as had some Amazon vouchers, decided to buy The New Curry Secret and it arrived yesterday :T More curries to come I think.

I love chicken wings but my DH hates meat on the bone. One to try next time he is away I think.

Today I am making a carrot cake from here I have never made cake using oil before so rather nervous.

  • Not quite a new recipe for me this week - but I bought some reduced price ribs in Morrisons the other sunday only to find they were Piri-Piri - boy were they hot. but invented a honey & pinapple glaze to cook them in after washing off the piri piri
