  • Phew, DH has not handed in his notice but I think it is only a matter of time.

He is really down at the moment and was moaning that he has applied for loads of jobs and only got an interview to 1. When I asked how many jobs he had applied for he said 6 - I told him that getting 1 interview was really good, some people have to apply for loads to get 1 interview.

Not much has happened today, I spent £2.10 in Sainsburys which I did not need.
I had taken cup a soups to work and they were lovely but when I walked through town I brought a pasty and an aero bar . There was just no need, I have no willpower even when I have no money. Although I feel the chocolate is justified at the moment :rotfl:

Have got my cheque for expenses to pay in tomorrow and that will cover some of the Barclaycard minimum payment which I have made today.
  • Glad OH has not handed his notice in, hope something turns up for him soon.

Chocolate is my big down fall, kids easter eggs that i had bought and hidden have been eaten:o, will buy more closer to Easter and actually hand them to them, only way i won't eat them.

Oh PWPS giving the children their Easter Eggs does not stop me eating them

Either I break small bits off and eat them or I give my DS the puppy dog look while stroking the box and he usually gives me some :rotfl:

This is only with Easter Eggs though, the rest of the time I don't really care that much about chocolate.

DH asked what I wanted for Mother's Day - I asked for Cadburys Easter Eggs :rotfl:
  • So not a lot happened yesterday, went to work and for lunch I had my cupasoup and then went past the donut stall so I brought 10 mini's for £1 - very :money:

Have paid my cheque in and they tried to get me to upgrade my account to the 1-2-3 account. I said I was far too busy to stop but would read the leaflet.
I am worried about changing as other people always seem to have so much trouble with Santander.

This weekend will mainly consisit of gardening, gardening, washing and not a lot else.

Although one thing is for sure - I am not cooking anything tomorrow :rotfl:
  • I'm with Santander have been for around 4 years, no problems with them so far, Barclays was a nightmare for me though.

Oh i love those doughnuts and can't resist the stalls that sell them.

    Happy Mothers Day!

Yesterday was rained off :rotfl:, I have never known rain like it so we did a bit of decorating and tidied the bedroom instead.

Today looks to be much nicer which is good as we have gardening to do.

I have had breakfast in bed (well I was up at 6.15 so I got dressed and went up to the field to feed the animals, when I got back I put my PJ's back on and got into bed so DH and DD could bring me breakfast in bed:rotfl:)

DD had made me 5 different cards, she had made some lovely poems - I nearly cried :D

I am not cooking today although I put a venison stew in the slow cooker last night so DH will have to do something with that today.

Should also go and see my mum and hopefully see my brother and his children there.

I guess the housework never stops so I have washing to do as well :(

Oooh nearly forgot to say that I have been accept for the Royal Mail thing. From what I can gather they send me letters which I then have to send on to other people and we both have to log info like when it was sent and when it was received. For this I get 12 x 1st class stamps, 4 x large letter stamps and the comemerative (sp?) stamps plus entry in to a prize draw every month.

Hmmm how can I make money from that? Guess I need to sell the stamps somewhere. :rotfl:

It's all go in the Elephant household.

Good job I did not come on last night as my post would have been one huge rant but now I have calmed down more (although getting up at 5.15am must mean something is still on my mind)

Monday was good, went to work and managed not to buy any more mini donuts.

Yesterday I had to get cat food and so I ended up buying a pasty as well . Only £1.10 so at least it was :money:compared to Greggs.

I am seriously stressed at the moment -

I had to pay my Barclaycard min payment from the food budget and was going to pay it back from the Child Benefit and the cheque which I am waiting to clear. But Norton expires today so I will need to buy that. The car petrol light is on and as I don't get paid until next Friday I guess I will have to fill it up (it is my car but DH drives it all day for work but then it is cheaper than his truck).

Got home and DS not wearing his glasses to play the computer - he says he lost them ages ago and he told me. I think he didn't as I would have gone mad then instead of last night. DS under strict instructions to find glasses today as I am going to the school to collect him early for a doctor's appt so I might have to go in and find them myself :rotfl:

DD started crying, turns out the childminder accused her of something which she did not do. Childminder pretended that she had finger prints off the box and then made them write a letter of apology. Rung childminder she said she only asked them if they had done it and DD admitted it along with another girl and she told them that if they had they had to write her a letter.
Now I know that not all children can be believed but my daughter is one of the most honest children I know, if she does anything wrong she always admits it to DH so I am quite sure she did not do it.
So then I was trying to sort things and wondering how we would manage if one of us did shorter days or gave up work etc and I just went round and round in circles.
In the end I rung the childminder back and asked for a meeting on Thurs when we collect DD. Childminder still adamant she did not accuse but she is Romanian and so although she speaks English her use of the english language is not always good.
My thoughts on it are that even if the childminder felt she hadn't accused them, my DD felt she had and surely my DD's feelings need to be taken into account?

Then on the way to acupuncture DH does not have enough in his bank to cover the cost. So that was aother £40 out of the Child Benefit
DH says he will give it up (which he says everytime he has no money) and I reminded him that he gets DLA which covers 2 sessions and if he had not brought the extra thngs for his phone (£20) or signed up for another stupid phone contract that would have been another £40 so that's all the money bar £20 which probably went on some other random crap. Will have to check his account shortly.

So I keep an eye on his account to make sure DD's don't bounce but he still has is debit card, so is it up to me to stop him spending?

Today will be eventful, it is my day off but I think I might go to work as I will have to do less :rotfl:

After the children have gone to school I need to collect bread from the bakers for the geese, clean the geese out, meet my friend for lunch (illness permitting), collect DS from school and take to the doctors, then it's home for tea and parents evening.

So somewhere I might have time to breathe :rotfl:

DS is still poorly from when we thought he had appendicitis but the hospital sent us home with a diagnosis on Medentic Adenitis (although this apparently only lasts 2 weeks). DS has been poorly for 6 weeks, I still think it is his appendix but the pain is also on the other side so not sure if it is radiating or whether it is connected to his intestines.
I'm hoping for a referral to the hospital to have him checked, it's no good going up as an emergency as the doctors are too busy dealing with the real emergencies.

DS' glasses have been found - when I collected him from school I asked the receptionist and she had 4 pairs in lost property. Then I forgot which ones were his as he does not need to really wear them at home. I said I thought the designer ones were his :rotfl: and she let me take them, luckily DS confirmed they were his :T
DD started crying, turns out the childminder accused her of something which she did not do. Well after all my rant it turns out DD did do something wrong and the other girl involved admitted it and confirmed it was also my DD.
You can imagine how livid I was, all DD did was cry as she knew how much trouble she was in.
I apologised to the childminder although I did not tell her that I thought she was lying but it was so embarrassing to find out it was DD.
Then on the way to acupuncture DH does not have enough in his bank to cover the cost. So that was aother £40 out of the Child Benefit

Checked DH's account again and he had spent £10 on a Vodafone top up (even though he is contract) and also had paid a Moshi Moster sub for 1 year
DH says he needed the top up to use in a PAYG sim he had requested and wanted to see what Vodafone freebies are . Well to me they don't look too exciting so what a waste of money that was.
The MM sub he did was because DD asked for it (bangs head against wall:mad:) and he wanted to be a good parent!!! Well don't let her have everything she wants then :rotfl:
Today will be eventful, it is my day off but I think I might go to work as I will have to do less :rotfl:

After the children have gone to school I need to collect bread from the bakers for the geese, clean the geese out, meet my friend for lunch (illness permitting), collect DS from school and take to the doctors, then it's home for tea and parents evening.

Well I managed it all :T, met friend for lunch and it was her turn to pay so did not spend any money - just as well as I didn't have any :rotfl:
Parents evening was ok but DS can do so much better and is not even trying. I had not looked at his homework and made him redo it or chased him up as I am worried that if we pressurise him he might kill himself (I have this odd paranoia about it) due to the stress but now I can see that it has not helped. So new plan of action, all school work takes priority and he must go to lunch time clubs for revision for next exam. DS is not happy!!!

Well the doctor thinks he has a ligament strain - can't remember the name of the ligament but it runs from the hip bone to the pubic bone. They are not sure what has caused it but DS did used to do a lot of sit ups as he wanted a six pack and I wonder about this but the doctor said it was not likely. He has Naproxen to take and yesterday he said the pain was so much better but it made him sleepy.

So yesterday was good, went to work and spent no money :money:.

Today is work and then tonight is choc bingo which my friend has organised for her playgroup she is involved with. I'm not sure that DD should go but I think removing her xbox and her movie nights is quite a severe punishment :rotfl:
