UK PC Is another new one I have recently joined and the points have accumulated quickly.
I am going to withdraw on all those I can to get me started on PWPS challenge - I will be back shortly!!!
0 -
Well that was not very quick - I had to play 4 games of Cluedo before I could come back :rotfl:
I have withdrawn £5 from My Survey, £20 MyVoice and £15 from UK Product Community.
These are all in Amazon Vouchers.
So this has got me started on Make £2012 in 2012. :T0 -
I have also entered my 10 competitions for today!!!
Well these challenges are going well - wonder how long this will last!!!! :rotfl:0 -
Just realised that I forgot to mention that the a couple of weeks ago my car was broken in to - they smashed my back window and stole a laptop and a saw
My parcel shelf was up so you could not see what was in the boot so it looks like it was just luck I had something in there, although DH's work bag which looks like a lap top bag was just left on the back seat, they had not smashed a window to get it or anything.
They also rifled through DH's truck as he had left it unlocked but they did not take anything.
We know this was not a personal thing as 6 cars got done that same night in our street
Luckily I had window cover so just paid £75 excess and they fitted a new back window.
Had to claim on house insurance for laptop and saw as I only had £100 personal possessions cover . DH was not happy but to be honest when I sorted my insurance I was more concerned with the size of the excess in the event of an accident - never did I think someone would break in
The crooks are not likely to be caught as they did not fingerprint the cars or trucks because it had been raining and also they were busy
It's such a waste as the laptop is finger print encrypted for my DH and 1 other person only so no one can access it so it will just get thrown in a ditch somewhere I expect as no use to anyone
I suppose they will get money for the saw as it was a good make - bloody thieving barstewards
Anyway I have moved on from it although DD has a bit of a worry going on every evening before bed which we have to talk through0 -

Oh have not been on for a few days - unfortunately I have not done any money making!!!
Monday was taken up with cleaning out the animals - 2 hours - and then back home for board games and I cooked a roast - yum yum!!! Then we took the DC's to my mum's as they are not back at school until Weds.
Yesterday I went to work, then DH had acupuncture and then we collected the children from my mum's, came home, had leftovers for tea and went to bed!!
DH and I both took buffet food in to work yesterday and DH has more today, at least it is all being used up!
Today I have some relief work to do which is a few hours plus they cover mileage - need to go and check cut off date to see when they pay as will need this to up my total on PWPS' challenge.
I think my 10 competitions per day is going to be totted up once a week so as long as I do 70 in a week then that is fine. Tuesday nights are out as DH has acupuncture and DD has brownies and then there is usually another night a week where we either have a meeting or something else so it is hard to get on the laptop on those nights - do you think I have managed to justify it???? :rotfl:0 -
I did my relief work on Weds - only worked 1.5 hours as all worked completed.
Note to self - work slower so you get paid for longer :rotfl:
I get mileage so that will help as it is 34 mile round trip. Need to find out if they are still paying 40p per mile or whether it has gone up to 45p per mile.
Dates for cut off for wages were yesterday so I have not claimed anything but will do it for next cut off which is beginning of Feb. Also need to get mileage claims in.
I did some relief work in Sept/Oct but cannot remember the date so can't claim it or the mileage - I emailed by boss before Xmas but she has not replied so I will email her again as I need this money.
Normal work on Thurs and Fri - was hoping for NSD but on Thurs had to get DD some tights for school as hers are too small and I found a school skirt in some hand me downs which of course she wants to wear as she has never been allowed before :rotfl:
Then Fri I had to get some bits for DS to give to his half-brothers for Xmas (bit late but got them in the sales) - he will pay me back but when I was in the shop I spent £1 on a reduced Cadbury's santa . Naughty EE but it was so very tasty!!!! :rotfl:
Have not done much money making but did complete nearly all the surveys in my inbox so that is some more totals going up.
Have also done 25 more comps bringing my total to 35/70 :T which is not too bad but I need to do another 35 by tomorrow to reach my target .
Goes off to ponder if target is too high or whether I am just a lazy mare and should be entering comps instead of reading diaries?0 -
Had quite a successful day yesterday with money - did not leave the house apart from dealing with the animals.
In the morning it was so lovely here, some sunshine and wind so I dried 2 loads of washing on the line which saved the tumble dryer being on. I decided to do a meter reading and noticed I had not done once since beginning of Dec - input figures and the bill for 1 month was about £80 which I did not think was too bad considering we were all at home for 2 weeks and due to the weather the tumble dryer has been on.
My DD was £121 and they refused to reduce it but when I input the figures I got a message to say that the DD will reduce to £91 as we are still in credit by another £100+ :T
This reduces the household bills which means I don't have to keep topping up the account :T
Then in the afternoon we sold 2 live turkeys to someone so that is another £50 which goes into the business account.
Also had to chop a tree down as the top had fallen off so this is free fire wood for us :T
Need to check the bank accounts to make sure they are ok - should be although DH was loose with his debit card the other day so we will see if the figure he gave me was true:p0 -
Naughty EE - Sorry I have been MIA for 2 weeks.
Can't believe how time flew.
Well following on from my last post DH was a bit economical with the truth about what he spent  - he told me he had spent £7 when actually he had spent £7 in two shops. He says he hasn't lied as he did not deny he had spent more than £7 he just failed to tell me about the other shop.
Too be honest £7 is nothing in the grand scheme of things, at least it wasn't another £5000 that he managed to spend in a matter of minutes the other year.
It's been quite an eventful couple of weeks - an old bag from the village who has caused no end of trouble in the village since moving in less than 6 months ago reported us to RSPCA for not feeding our sheep . Of course as it is livestock it is passed to Defra/Trading Standards so they came to visit and left a note attached to our gate asking us to make contact. (I'm sure they could have asked someone in the village who the owners were or looked on their records - there are only 2 flocks of sheep in the village, ours and a guy with 2500+
They were fine with things and said they would check our records on their system and if there were any problems they would let us know as she had taken pictures for the vet to look at.
That weekend we went up to our field and caught the old bag feeding the sheep so I ran over to her to tell her not to feed my sheep - her reaction was 'It was only some digestives '.
Unfortunately I started swearing at her as not only are they poisonous to sheep she has no right to come near my sheep.
Then we had a full blown argument about everything in the village she has done - some of which she denied the rest she tried to give an excuse for.
I blamed her for reporting us, she denied it and told me that they had rung her to see if she knew who owned the sheep
I also told her that my life would be hell until her house sold - it is up for sale 6 months after she moved in as she has fallen out with all her neighbours.
On the Sunday one of our sheep had died  so we paid for a postmortem which was inconclusive but they did say that the sudden diarrhoea the lamb had was not caused by worms but likely something they had eaten .
The vet came out a few days later and gave them anti-biotics just in case so that was probably another £60
We have since had another sheep die and today we have one who is just in the shed instead of out grazing so I expect he will die as well
So not only did the lambs cost us £50 each to buy, when they die we have to pay £20 to have them taken away (this is by the hunt who use it to feed the hounds, a company who burn them charge £75 each) plus of course all the feed they have had.
DH was of the opinion that we just give up but why should this lady win so he has come round to the idea that we will still have some later this year.
Trading Standards have contacted the lady to tell her that if she goes near our sheep again they will prosecute her for interfering with livestock.
So the saga continues this week with the DEFRA vet coming to see the sheep and then the following week they are coming to check our paperwork :mad:0 -
Have managed to find out the date I worked in September so need to put my claim in for this but need to check with the company first as from 1/1 we are working for a new company and I am not sure if I claim on the new expenses form or the old one for last year???
Have not even kept up with comps but I must do so - I guess my target was not that achievable - I will try harder this week.0
