Hope all goes well with the move today EE. WS seems to be coping very well with it all now which must be a blessed relief all round.
I was sorry to hear that DD was so upset but in a way it was to be expected. But how lovely that she has decided to live with you after all! You must be so chuffed!

Once the dust settles DD will realise she'll still be able to see her dad. My dad left when I was 14 and I never saw or heard from him again. Hope things went well today.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Sending thoughts and (((hugs))) in your direction.
It's a big change and DD (and you) may take a while to get used to/ accept it. Try and be patient with her, and if possible sit and talk things through so she knows where you are 'coming from'.
Hopefully things will soon settle down and WS will settle in his new place and not be too much of a burden to you XI Believe.....

Hope today has gone well EE - I have been thinking about you.
Both of my kids turned down their chance to see their dad today. I can't say that I'm surprised but it is still sad.

Well the move went well-ish, its amazing how long it takes to put up flat packed furniture.
He stayed in my house last night but that was the last time!!
DD has come round, I think it helps that her best friend is so excited that she has 2 homes and she can go to both with DD!!! Teenagers have some odd thoughts!!
DD helped with some furniture yesterday and is staying with WS tonight, I took some more bits and pieces round tonight and while I was there DD got her bed made (the mattress had to inflate overnight as it came rolled) and she was so pleased and asked me to go and look.
WS made his bed also and DD told him that she nearly made his but she was too tired from making hers!!! I laughed and said she did not need to be the woman of the house and really dad should have made hers but she said she likes doing it but it makes her arms ache!!!
I think the plan will be that DD is with WS most of the week which makes sense for school and then at weekends she will decide what she wants to do, at the moment she is saying she wants to come to mine every weekend but I can also see it from WS' point of view that he will only see her for a few hours each evening in the week and so no quality time as they don't get in from school/work until 6.15pm and leave at 7am.
I am off on annual leave this week which I booked 2 months ago so if DD needs anything or wants to come to mine then she can and I can run her to school and collect her.
She seemed quite settled at WS' although she is concerned about the lack of internet and threatened not to stay, she text me and I took round the mobile broadband. I think WS said the internet will be connected on Thurs or Fri.
I think I need a new name for WS because technically he is no longer my spouse although obviously we are still married. Ex seems a bit premature as we are not divorced...hmm I will think on it.
Plus of course I don't care whether he is wayward or not as he is not my concern any longer.0 -
