Great news on the cottage!:j and also that WS is upbeat about it - I had visions of you having to pry him out of your house!
Agree with Chrystal and Hairy about the children- a few days won't hurt till they're told and make sure they hear your side of the story on the break up!Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Glad he's found somewhere. I'm sure the kids will be ok with the news - surely they must've guessed all hasn't been good for a while. Like the others say, make sure they hear your side of the story.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Fingers crossed WS moves out soon EE, it sounds much more amicable than my divorce years ago was!0

WS has been accepted for the cottage he likes, he gets the keys today.
He collected his new car yesterday and wanted me to be impressed about it!!
We told the kids on Thurs night. WS wanted me to tell everyone that we are just living apart rather than split up because in his head this sounds better and he can cope so reluctantly I agreed although everyone I have told knows what living apart means. DD appeared to take it well but by last night I realised she hadn't and she was crying so then I was crying and it was all one big runny mascara mess!!!
I have apologised to her but asked her to understand that I no longer want to live with WS.
She has picked her new bedroom furniture and seemed happier by the end of the evening.
DS took it well, I called him to tell him and after we had chatted I sent him a message to apologise for the mess. His only concern was whether me and him get to keep the cats and dogs!!
I am having to work today, I haven't worked a Saturday for years and this was planned a few weeks ago so WS is collecting a sofa he has brought with my brother and then tomorrow when I am off we will collect furniture that has been ordered and I will make sure he starts moving in!!!0 -
I'm sorry DD was upset, that must have been so hard for you. As the child of divorced parents I know that she will get used to the idea and may even come to enjoy having two families instead of one.
I'm glad DS took it well and it's great news that WS has got the keys to his cottage.

That's brilliant news - I'm really pleased it has been sorted out so quickly and he's on the move. Your DD will come round - my ds did once he realised the difference in not having his dad at home.

DD is still not sure how she wants to split her time but she did announce she wanted to be with me all the time which surprised me as I have prepared myself for her not wanting that as her and WS are very close.
I am happy with whatever she decides and luckily WS is actually a good father and his mental health is under control and he has a job he likes which helps so I have no worries about her being with him plus of course she is 15 and can fend for herself.
DD at her friends since yesterday, i will collect today. Hopefully she will want to come and see his house, she didnt want to see it yesterday.0
