Happy New Year, glad you have such a lovely friend. I have also just used savings to pay off credit cards. Re visited the budget and tried to find Some positive things. Mum and I were ill while away and I didn’t get a single piece of turkey this year.
But like you I will be regrouping and learning better time management to achieve.

Thanks for all the birthday and New Year messages.
I feel almost back to normal when I'm not coughing but once I start coughing then I struggle to breathe and have to keep coughing until I can breathe properly, its actually quite terrifying.
DH was also feeling much better but since yesterday he has ached all over so I assume he has started with flu or similar.
DS now also has a cough, sore throat but he has a blocked nose and he aches all over as well.
If everyone could keep away that would be great - I have put a big red cross on the door!!!
DH and I are both supposed to be back at work tomorrow, I am definitely going in although not sure what I will do that does not involve talking as talking makes me cough as it dries the throat.
I need to make some extra money this year as the budget is very tight so the other day when I popped to town I brought a cheap smartphone and have rejoined Swagbucks.
betterthanever makes quite a bit from it but I will be pleased with £5 pw - I am hoping to make mine mostly from videos which I will run on the smartphone while at work all day and also at home but only where I have free Wi-Fi. As long as it doesn't get stuck I should be able to leave it running for 2 hours and then switch over to a new app and run that for 2 hours - its not a lot of points but should all add up.0
