A legal and benefits systems which backs them up every step of the way! Sounds cynical but they can stop paying and takes so much time and money to get them out that the losses run into 000's.

What I'd love to do is take out a full page advert in a local paper and name and shame them so that no other sod would be stuck with them.

And if you get a ccj they declare bankruptcy under Low Income Low Assets for £100 and get every penny wiped off. They just don't care and you and I pay for them and the system that supports. Oh and the law now allows them to include CSA arrears too so they are effectively told that society doesn't expect them to have responsiblity for any area of their misbegotten lives.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

You wouldn't guess this hacks me off - I hide it so well :rotfl:

Yep...and tax arrears, community charge, utilities, loans, cards as well I think. Found out at the CAB, law changed about a year ago and just about every debt known to man is thrown in. We were dealing with cases where the debts were built up knowingly and in 5 years they can declare again. And for the record half of those I saw where on there second bite exactly 5 years after the first...why bother scrimping when the law says you can have it all and f*** your creditors.

It's a bl00dy joke and everyone working in debt management knows it. There are those in genuine difficulties through business failure, illness, family breakdowns etc and those who know and play the system. And the part that sticks in my craw is the people bleating it's the banks, I didn't know what I was signing, the taxpayer bailed the big boys out, they make billions of profits etc...what they don't mention is that the vet doesn't get paid, I don't paid, the local shops don't get paid...these are the ones hit hardest because of the smallest margins. People here make a real effort to make it all work others are quite simply my tenants.

If your credit is shot and you don't own a house in positive equity then there is no logically reason not to declare bankruptcy...your credit history is equally destroyed. From a moral perspective then whole different ball game.

    Sorry it just rankles...
