How many calories are you on? I've been told 1500, which seems an awful lot!!!Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -
It seems to depend which calorie calculator you use and how much you want to lose in the first place.
Assuming our human guinea pig is 5' tall and weighs 14 stone doing a sedentary desk job and aiming to lose 1lb per week than 1500 calories seems to be about right. If that person were lightly active they'd need to eat 200 calories more to lose weight at the same rate.
1500 calories a day is classed as a starvation diet.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

I'm on 1682 per day this week apart from today which is my dinner/cinema day with kissjenn and which I have marked as my "day off" so they have upped my intake for today to a whopping 2301
I think this is because I'm quite tubby to begin with and because I am not active in my day job or my out of hours time. I think that if I went to 1200 right away I would explode with rage...
On Day One it appears as though I consumed 334 less calories than allocated, plus I burned another 118, soI was minus 452 for the day, which is good. I was rampagingly hungry when I woke up on Wednesday though - apples are just not food enough it appears.
Last night I had some chocolate and didn't feel as deprived, so that may be the key to my sanity...
Due to the whopping allowance I have for today, I can still consume another 1778 calories  I have already had cereal, a sandwich, some pretzels, a pear and a Weight Watchers yoghurt (You would be as well eating air for all the taste in the damn thing, but I shall persevere!) I plan to devour a large plate of scampi and chips tonight though, woo!0 -
Stay away from the Weightwatchers version of hula hoops - they are so tasteless that eating cardboard would be an improvement! I gave up with the horrible crisps and would eat Walkers French Fries as they were under 100 calories per bag which is as pretty low as you can get.
Out of the Weightwatchers food I really liked the chocolate bars and the packs of sweets - the chocolate tasted exactly like a Milky Way. Yum!
The Shepherds Pie is pretty nice too if you can find it in any supermarkets..0 -
Mine is worked out on https://www.weightlossresources.co.uk. I'm 5ft 4in, and xst 3.8lbs and moderately sedentary and it's given me 1549 calories at weight loss of 1lb per week. I think I will be happy with that. Have been out for a walk today and it reckons I have earned 171 exercise calories on top of my allowanceStart Date: 27/11/2010

Stay away from the WW cookies they are so hard you may crack a tooth. I think the reason they are so low in calories is because you must use a lot trying to eat themWeekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

I once decided to go for Snackajacks instead of Walkers at lunchtime, and cracked a tooth. I still only have half a tooth at the back because of the damn things.0 -
Even with my pub meal (and Ben & Jerrys at the cinema!) I came in at 510 calories under my (massive) target before exercise was taken into account. It worries me how much I must have been eating before without even thinking about it.
Just waiting for flatmate to get out of shower now. Remembered at 7.25am that I have a meeting at half eight. Eek...
