Find me somewhere else where I could get a box of 1000 cable ties for 50p then. That's all I paid in Halfords when I bought some recently.

Find me somewhere that'll sell a set of larger Torx bits (T15 to T50) and a 24" extension bar that is guaranteed to last forever (i.e. lifetime warranty) for under £25.

Funny that because online halfords are advertising a massive box full of just 5 black 100mm cable ties for £1.59!!!

Thats a budget busting 32p each... but oh wait... screwfix sell 100 for 64p!!! Thats!! Oh my god!!! 0.64p each!!! 50 times cheaper!!!!!!

Halfords are a decent 1/2 set though, not a 3/8 toy set. (and they're £11 with carriage) and the trade card price will be around £15 from Halfords for that set.

i use tools every day and rely on them to perform. a cheap set of torx or even allen key sockets would make my life a misery.
i would be kicking myself everytime i tried to take out a torx screw and the head rounded due to a poor quality fit from a poor quality tool or when it broke and i had to buy a new set. buy cheap buy twice. by cheap i mean quality not price.

Halfords sale isn't bad. My kids had christmas pressies from relatives there at half price, and got some nice stuff.

1) Its exactly the same Torx screw set- both Chrome Vanadium Steel (whatever that is). Halfords just sell them for 3 times the price.

2) At 0.64p per cable tie doesnt it make sense to buy 200 at £1.20 from screwfix instead of 5 for £1.59 from halfords. Stick them in the shed and they'll keep you going for a few years.

Im not trying to be a wise guy here but its really hard to justify the ridiculous prices halfords charge for really inexpensive items like cable ties!!

its the same is? so anything in chrome vandium is the same?
as has been said they are different drive sizes (do you use tools?) and halfords back up theirs with a lifetime warrenty
