SeptemberI agree with other comments about Virgin, would only fly with them if it was Premium economy or Upper. Luckly we have a trip booked in Prem From MAN using miles and an upgrade voucher via the VS credit Card. Our next trip is in May with BA in Club World.
I really like AA, couples seats at the outside edges, seem to be wider as well on the 777. Their checkin operation at LHR is pants though. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Junei did look at that site, hence booking those chairs as it said good seats!0

if you book the row behind, you can stretch your legs into the "no chair" bit. if youre directly behind the 3 seats, you have chairs in front in the way of your legs.illegitimi non carborundum0

Maywell guys, were now all booked up,
flying with delta via detroit outbound, and via new york inbound on 27th may 2011, at a cost of £440 each for the wife and i
and just booked the cosmopolitan terrace studio for £550 with city and show.
this will be our first trip to vegas so wanted to stay somewhere a little special, and by the looks of the cosmo it ticks all the boxes,
i think weve done quite well with the price, as far as what some of you have been saying about prices going to be high next year, what do you guys think, would love some feedback0 -
AprilAny ideas on where to get married, which involves being picked up by limo, taken to the place (chapel or gazebo), having the marriage done and receiving your photos on CD (dont need any printed), just the images on CD so i can print them myself at Asda/tescos when i get back....
And the cost being under $450 ? (that cost including the Ministers fee of around $70 and a tip for like $30 for the limo driver) Aiming for a Tuesday wedding (like 7th June!)
We're getting married here in their indoor garden:

JuneYeah, i logged into the VS website and picked the seats at the back of the plane (think theres 4 or 5 couples seats behind the 3 row seats, i prebooked the couples seat directly behind the 3 row seats
Checkin 24 hour before so should see us ok with our seats
Would be a killer if stuck on a plane for 11 hours with someone sat next to u who dont shut up! (had that on my way back from NYC once, even with headphones on, the woman would'nt shut up!... Although am on about my ex missis there !)
With those seats at the back, you will be at the end of the long imigration queue in Vegas, and most likely run out of onboard meal choices. Also I dont like being at the back as you get the rowdy Stag groups. Several times I have been on flights where police/security have been waiting as we disembark in case of trouble.
I now travel Virgin from LHR to San Fran, and then the short hop from SF to Vegas with Virgin America.0 -

You are right about the immigration lines, but they usually go fairly quick in Vegas in my previous experience.
As for the food choices, every time I've flown a 747 route with Virgin they start their meal service from the back and from the front and meet in the middle, so you should get your first choice in these seats. (Although it's been about 12 months since I flew with Virgin and things might have changed).0 -

We agree - while we were always at the end of the immigration queue when in the seats at the back, I think the longest wait in the immigration queue we (well, my husband, I went through the US citizen queue) had was 45 minutes...also found that we were among the first to get our meals...but it's been awhile for us too.
I do totally agree that the first pair behind the last row of 3 is the worst pair to be in - worse than the last row with limited recline, but I am not a recliner...still better than being sat with a random stranger (or strangers) for 10+ hours each way though.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
