ive done WT+ before (just not on the vegas rout and not for about 4 years) My last 2 flights on BA in Club to Zambia and Nairobi I have noticed a distinct drop in quality and standards throughout. You can definately see where they are trying to cut costs! Sadly at the the moment I am fresh out of miles although Im hoping a couple of work trips in the new year are confirmed and that'll be long haul Club so may just have collected enough to do that

Hi, as part of our wedding package we've got a $200 credit for food and drink in caesars. We're looking for somewhere a bit upmarket to take the parents the night before the big day.

I quite like the look of Bradley Ogden or Neros, has anyone been to either of these before, or could recommend another restaurant?

    cheers
    z

we ate at Rao's which is a nice setting inside Caesars and a fairly upmarket Italian .

wasn't the cheapest , but i do remember it being nice .

Caesars buffet is fine , but nothing spectacular .

I'm flying with Virgin to LAS, then from MCO back home...... Any pointers on how to get a little bit friendly cheeky in hope of a free chair upgrade ?! ;) (does it help saying am using Virgin Wedding services ?!)
As has been mentioned many times before, there is no chance of getting a free upgrade. The VS flights are pretty much full all the time (the reason there are no sale fares) and Premium Economy is no exception. They would only upgrade if Y were full, then there is a strict order of the pax. that would be called for upgrade. Full fare paying, then Gold card holders, then Silvers. See where this is going?
The best chance of getting something is to get to the VS desk at South terminal 5am the morning of the flight. That is when it is open and ask if there is any availability to Prem. if there is it will cost you £250ish one way.
I hope you were not suggesting a free upgrade to Upper. There are only 14 suites and they go for over £4000 each. I was in a queue once and say 2 guys pay £2,000 each for a one way upgrade.
You will here stories about people getting upgraded for free, either these took place 20 years ago or they didn't happen.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

we decided to spring for PE for our next trip...because it's a birthday trip for my hubby...been awhile now since we have flown Virgin and having gotten used to AA, we kind of couldn't bear the risk of sitting in the middle of a row of 5 on those old planes...I think though since we had that miraculous luck of a business upgrade on AA LHR-ORD, we're likely to be somewhat disappointed. :) We did fly PE to Vegas a few years ago and though it was certainly better than economy, it wasn't enough better to justify the price...mostly.

Agree with those that say no way to a free upgrade to PE...just not going to happen.

Stuie - have you selected your seats for your flights yet? If you haven't, best get on that to get the best seats you can.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

we're off on june 15th, about 2 weeks later than we have been before.

a long time to wait, but gives me plenty of time to perfect my 'sprinting with a crash helmet on' technique.....

We go May 28th, think we were out there the same time this year. Let the countdown begin!!

Yeah, i logged into the VS website and picked the seats at the back of the plane (think theres 4 or 5 couples seats behind the 3 row seats, i prebooked the couples seat directly behind the 3 row seats :)
Checkin 24 hour before so should see us ok with our seats :)
Would be a killer if stuck on a plane for 11 hours with someone sat next to u who dont shut up! (had that on my way back from NYC once, even with headphones on, the woman would'nt shut up!... Although am on about my ex missis there ! :D:D:D )
