sounds like you got a good deal . just avoid the Excalibur Buffet ( well so says everyone who has ventured in there) . Cripsy Creme Doughnuts @ Exaclibur on the other hand are worth pushing your granny out the way for .

I love those doughnuts!! :D Now that WH Smith at T5 in Heathrow has a Krispy Creme stand, I can't help but bring a few home when I go through there......

Froggitt - love your pics from the GC. Not sure about those temperatures though... bbrr

It was the coldest I have ever, ever been I think Stoneman has a phrase about his eyeballs melting in summer in Vegas......well my eyeballs froze solid that day at the GC. Vegas temp was fine that day - jumper weather - so make sure you wrap warmly for GC in winter.

If anyone has any spare restaurant.com vouchers left over i will happily consider taking them off your hands.

    Going 22-27 dec........21 days and counting :D

Just a note to say that R.com vouchers don't expire any more. Anyone with an account with them should have got an email with the information, and it was posted on here too.

If you have one with an expiry date, just go to the site and re-print it. It will then say at the bottom, "This voucher does not expire."

I used one at Hennessey's last month that I had bought in 2007. No problems at all.

Has anyone ever booked hotel rooms with Travel Republic? The prices for February 21 -28 seem to be much cheaper than I can get anywhere else, e.g. the Flamingo is coming in @ £147 per person which is better than I can get on the harrahs site even with Cyber Monday

Youll need to quote price per room (ideally in dollars as thats where the best deals usually are) for x nights to get any decent comparisons to be made eg

    Ballys from $36
    Promotion Details:
Name: Rock Bottom Cyber Monday Promo
Description: Double Rooms from $36/ night

"PinkstarSX" asked if Virgin include the resort fee's.....

I did a post on here which had mixed replies in terms of fee's.
I booked a hotel, the same as you do with Virgin.
If the hotel charge a resort fee, you'll pay it when you get there. The booking agent (Virgin, etc etc) should inform you of such fee's.
I already raised a case with ABTA against Alpharooms.com for booking the Excalibur, and got told there is no fee, but theres a $7 fee, then after badgering them, to be told there is a daily $9.95 fee (only after raising hell!)

So that statement above may not be true unless Virgin holidays state that the room, tax, resort fee (plus tax) is all paid for....
just booked yesterday with virgin, they made no mention of any extra fees, increased vat etc etc. nothing on their website either. so if i get to excalibur and they ask for it ill pay but Virgin will have hell to pay when i get back. go straight to ABTA if not small claims court. They did mention the ESTA to me though

Well, when i get home tonight, i should have some info from ABTA as i followed there procedure and complained to my booking agent that they didnt fully disclose the total cost therefore misleading me into a contract. Sent all paperwork to ABTA, called the other day and was told ABTA have responded to my questions on whether a UK booking agent can take your money but not fully disclose whether there are additional charges to pay.. So will report back tomorrow on that :)

    Hi all,

I have planned to go with my parents to Vegas next year for Easter. The following flights were offered to us:

Outbound: London - Las Vegas 20/04/2010
Inbound: San Diego - London 03/05/2010

Price would be £500 per Person. Anyone thinks I could get this for a bit cheaper when waiting a bit longer or does this look like a really good offer I should better book NOW? It looks pretty decent to me I have to say

    Thanks

assuming you are going to San Diego anyway , i would say it's a good deal .

you might get a better deal , but i very much doubt you could save 3 figures on that price .

personally i would snap it up .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Yes, San Diego is a MUST, for me by far the best city in the USA (after Vegas of course ;) ). Thanks for your advice, I guess I will go for it, cant get much cheaper
