This is very nice of you to do.One thought - if you downloaded primoPDF (free) - you could then go into your restaurant.com account, select each voucher, print with PrimoPDF and create a pdf file that could be emailed to the recipients...would save you the postage at least. I think it was Froggitt or nvh that mentioned PrimoPDF before and I find it to be hugely useful for many things.

We used Mr Simcard when we toured the US in the summer - using the Iphone for sat nav etc it was invaluable. Think we paid about $100 for an unlimited useage month long sim that went in our unlocked Iphone. Check out the Mr Simcard website for further info (I'm not allowed to post links as a new user unfortunately but it's easily found by typing the name into Google):staradmin There is no normal, only typical :staradmin0 -

The IP and GN don't have resort fees anyway, but you would need to ask Virgin in the case of MGM who do charge.
Any of the Harrahs (Caesers entertainment blah blah) hotels don't have resort fees. MGM hotels either do or will have fees on their strip hotels.0 -
AugustHi everyone,
I've not been on here for a while but I was having a clear out and found a few unused vouchers for Vegas which might be useful to someone.....
Showcase Food Court Discount Booklet - has 7 vouchers which can be used in Subway (free chips or 2 cookies and soda with purchase of footlong), Panda Express, Del Taco, Starbucks (20% off), Weinerschnitzel (free chili dog with drink), Noble Roman's, Adidas (15% off). The expiry date is 31/12/10 so only for someone going before then.
2 x Cheesecake Factory vouchers for complimentary slice of cheesecake with every $30 purchase valid 28/11/10 to 30/12/10 so only for someone going before the end of the year.
I also have some Restaurant.com vouchers that we didnt use in September. I know these dont have a sell by date on them but I am not sure when we will be back in Vegas (I am still trying to persuade G to go for our Honeymoon but we will see!).....
$25 BB Kings @ Mirage Hotel
$25 Hennesseys @ Downtown
$25 House of Blues @ Mandalay Bay Hotel
$25 Top of the World @ Strathosphere Hotel
$25 Mr Luckys @ Hard Rock Hotel
$25 Pink Taco @ Hard Rock Hotel
50% off Ben & Jerry's @ Miracle Mile
If you want any of the above please send me a message with your name / address and I will post to you.

If they dont tell you that theres more to pay when you get there, then IMHO you dont have to worry about them.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

We've just booked (last week) a 10 day package with Virgin and are staying at the Golden Nugget - resort tax hasn't been added.0 -

AprilHi there!
Looking for some more help with Las Vegas. What is the best trip to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, we have had a look into lots and are totally confused what would be best?? We dont want it to involve a helicopter but would go in a plane, bus, limo etc etc etc....... Looking for everyones advise please.
How long will you be there and will you have a car? Do you want to actually stop at the Hoover Dam and do the tour? Do you want to go to the South Rim (which will be referred to as 'the proper Grand Canyon' or will the West Rim be enough (some people think it is)? Do you want to stop at the GC or just fly over? Price range?
If you have a car, Hoover Dam is an easy drive on its own. The south rim of the GC is much further than the west rim so will take more time if going by bus or car than the west rim. Plane trips are more expensive but faster for obvious reasons. I've not taken one of the plane trips but am sure I have read that they get quite bumpy (normally on our arrival into Vegas there's a fair amount of turbulence and that's in a big plane), so if air sickness is a concern it may want to be considered.
With a car and enough time to spare, I think DIY drive to the GC (stopping at the Hoover Dam on the way there or back) with an overnight at the canyon may be worth doing.
Bus trips to the South Rim will be 12+ hours door to door...could in theory do the same in a car but that would be a lot of driving in one day.
Bus trips to the West Rim are (I think) also pretty long days, but can be more expensive if the Sky Walk is included...reviews of the Sky Walk aren't great.
So there are a number of options that need to be considered, mainly how much time are you willing to devote to the trip and how much are you willing to pay.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
