October , NovemberHi All,
We got back last thursday and are still trying to recover and get over not still being there!!! This was our 2nd visit and seemed to do even more this time including getting married!! Which was really enjoyable and not at all stressfull like it would have been back home. We tied the knot at Chapel of the Flowers which was really nice and everything went smoothly so would recommend to anyone thinking. My now wife had her hair and makeup done by James from Glamsquad after a recomendation from someone on here(cant remember who but thanks!!!!) He did a really good job and actually made her look presentable, LOL!! In the evening we had dinner at The Country Club at the Wynn, got to say its probably the best meal ive ever had, cant fault it in any way and the service was amazing and really personal, we ate outside overlooking the 18th green and waterfall!!
We stayed at Signature and it was fantastic, would defo stay again no problem. The one bedroom suite was massive! As for the location it didnt bother us in the slightest, the walk to front of MGM or to planet hollywood was between 5-10 mins max!
Few other things we got up to was seeing Ka, unreal!! the theatre itself is worth seeing let alone how the stage works! Another was Scoot City(again after seeing it on here, cheers again!!), this was a brilliant day out and probably the best way to see Red Rock, the little scooters are real fun to drive about, can understand why its number 1 on trip advisor!!
Had amazing food all through holiday, used many a restraunt.com voucher, the only one not too keen on was harley davidson cafe, the starters we had wern't great but the Bbq was decent enough, or so we thought until we went to Eliis Island, amazing is the only word, i will never eat ribs in this country again, dunno what animal they came from but they were huge!!!
Lots of shopping at all the malls and outlets, went to town square also this time which i thought was great, just to note the Abercrombie shop there had loadsa items on sale that we'd seen in FSM for full price! Luckily for us we had extra suitcase for our wedding stuff for free from Thomas cook(again thanks to whoever mentioned it on here!!) Also would say that the flight on TC from Manchester was really good, we were in Premium cabin but it was really comfy with loadsa space and the food was really good and they kept us stocked up with drinks all way there and back, would defo use again if they dont get rid of Premium cabin as ive heard next year(will also wait to hear what virgins new service is like first!)
We used the Gold Line all the time and found it brilliant, it was even quicker than a taxi the 2 times we bothered to use taxis!
Think thats all can remember at mo, am now looking into going back for my 40th in bout year and half, cant wait!!!!

GladI was a little concerned as I wasn't on a through ticket -had a Delta ticket from Vegas to JFK and a seperate AA ticket from JFK to London. Turned out to be no sweat at all Delta booked me on the next NYC flight and AA just put me on the next flight once I got to New York-no fuss no charge .
Mmmmmm - US airlines call that customer service and it "just happens". UK airlines see you missing your flight as a revenue earning opportunity.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
October , Novemberim just looking into getting my currency sorted soon. popped into thomsons on my lunch break and their rate is 1.53 - i used the travel money maximiser on here & its best foreign exchange coming out on top with a rate of 1.563 (im wanting to change £4000). anyone used them before? or any idea how they are covered if they went bust - or where would i find this info?
in light of the whole crown currency fiasco im just trying to weigh up my options - would i rather pay & get my money immediately or will there be risk involved with ordering from best foreign exchange?
any opinions appreciated0 -
SeptemberAfter what happened with Crown Currency I would not even consider getting my currency anywhere like that ever again and I wasnt even stung by this...have used them a couple of times in the past though - defo travel agents for me now!0

I agree. I was involved in the CCE collapse and now I'd much rather lose a tiny bit of money in favour of getting the cash/TC in my hand there & then. Much less stress. I changed up a very small amount in the post office the other day and although I know there are better exchange rates, it was good to have the money handed back to me in $ straight away.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

October , NovemberHi there
We are heading out to Vegas in two weeks. This will be my 5th trip but I've always gone in the summer so have never really had to worry about what to take in terms of clothing. I just wondered if any one had any advice since I'm guessing it's cold in November?? By the way, I'm a dude so no advice on sorts of dresses or skirts please!! ;-)0 -

Neither would be my first choice but if I needed to fly direct then BA by a mile (actually more like a million miles.
Virgin's planes are older and service is poorer.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
