Not seen these websites posted here before, and maybe because this is a moneysaving website they might be worth linking on the guide on the first page.

Tango, how about one of the papillon strip 'night flights'? only cost us £50 each (IIRC) when we did it a few years ago :) - its only a 10 minute flight so £ per minute aint great but if you get it as the sun is setting it'd be great to see all the hotels with their lights on from the sky - plus they give you free booze before the flight (cheap champagne) so it may settle the nerves!

There's also 'taped' audio commentary playing in your headphones telling you about what you're flying over :)

If you can find my TR from May 2008, it may say more about it there (tho may not!) :) - any questions just give us a shout!

Thanks but if I'm going to get him in a helicopter just once I may as well do something I want to see..... I want to do GC....he doesn't want to do anything involving a helicopter....lol.....he doesn't like heights...he never takes a window seat on any flights we do....I've not been able to get him up the Stratosphere tower or the Eiffel at Paris......yet..lol

that offer comes out at £205 for the 2 of us...Al said I aint paying that to be scared sh**less....I only want a ride in one....I don't want to buy the bl**dy thing

Do you have a link to that price as it's actually excellent for the GC by helicopter?

The cheapest one I found on their site was $205pp + fees which is £265 for 2.

The one I've always fancied is the Grand Celebration at $310.

We have been to the GC before, but it was fixed wing and there is no way on this earth I would ever repeat the experience. I hated every minute due to the turbulence.

Anyone seen Carrot Top at Luxor? And is the price of US $38.45-US $46.15 the best prices for tickets?

Don't know about pricing but we thought he was side splitting funny. All of his stuff is based around props, a lot of American references that some people won't get but mostly just really funny. we would go and see him again given the chance at the right price
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

have just got back from a week in Vegas and had the most amazing time! we splashed out a little (i appreciate the name of this website/forum!) and went on the sunset trip with Maverick at £325 each.

but if you can stretch/save for that I would totally recommend it... you get the Vegas night flight 'thrown in' as well because you arrive back in LV at night time and fly down the strip.

having experienced the trip, I'd definitely recommend it and say it's value for money. the whole trip lasts about 4.5 hours, the pilots are friendly and funny and the descent down into the Canyon is quite breath-taking... as is flying over the Hoover Dam.

really, you're only ever going to do this trip once, and i'd recommend to anyone it's worth spending the extra for that flight :)

I have booked to go to Vegas in November staying in the Stratosphere. I am now thinking that as this is my first trip, that I should move toward the middle of the strip.

Looking around I have seen some good reviews for Bill's. Does anyone have any good/bad experiences of Bill's and would you recommend moving here?

    Thanks

I see Pebbles has answered but heres my opinion.

I like the Strat but for a first visit I would stay more central, Bills is an option but it is very small compared to most Vegas hotels, if you dont mind that, go for it as it is in a great location. The casino is also small but it is one of my favourites as it has some low limit games compared to a lot of the bigger hotels.

If you want a bigger hotel with a better pool, the Flamingo is just next door which is usualy available at a cheap rate.

Bills doesnt have a pool but you can go next door and use Flamingo (I dont think I just made that up)

Back to the Strat it also has low limit table games including a single zero roullette wheel (possibly the only low limit single zero on the strip), making it much better odds than the american double zero wheel. Of course it also has the tower with its awesome rides and awesome view.

The rooms are ok at the Strat
