Anyone seen Carrot Top at Luxor? And is the price of US $38.45-US $46.15 the best prices for tickets?

    Tickets are normally around $39 at Tix4Tonight + $6 fee. They are $49 + $5 fee at VegasTix4Less.

I avoided comedy shows the first few trips as I just don't get some American humour (or is that humor). However we have seen CT twice and he is very funny.

As stoneman said, he uses props and even a Brit will get most of the jokes. There were a couple of things I didn't get, but OH did as he watches a lot of US TV on Sky.

It's this one Luci...http://www.papillon.com/popris/show_package.aspx?package_id=307&lang=en-US....I used the WMPA promo code that Pebbles posted ....comes out at $371.70 for the 2 of us...which using a currency converter is £205.116 and that was for a 9am flight on Sunday 3rd Oct

Thanks Lorraine. I see that tour is only 30 mins and I think that would be far too short. I would rather pay more for a longer tour.

I have been swithering about going back the last few trips, but haven't really thought about it seriously. I did price it a year or so ago and I think it may have been a similar trip to the one above as it was about $425 per person.

However the OH has mentioned it for the first time this trip so we may look into doing it.

Flying in a chopper doesn't bother me. I have done it before, but that was out in the North Sea to go offshore. However I didn't have the thermals to contend with there!

The chopper flights only go to the West Rim and some say it is not the GC proper. We did the South Rim last time, but I don't think we saw it at its best as we flew at midday when the sun was directly overhead.

I see Pebbles has answered but here's my opinion.

I like the Strat but for a first visit I would stay more central, Bills is an option but it is very small compared to most Vegas hotels, if you dont mind that, go for it as it is in a great location. The casino is also small but it is one of my favourites as it has some low limit games compared to a lot of the bigger hotels.

I thought that since the OP had never been before, that Bill's would be good because it is small. If a person has only been to European hotels before, the size of Vegas hotels can be a bit of a shock. My parents liked Terrible's for that reason.

If you want a bigger hotel with a better pool, the Flamingo is just next door which is usually available at a cheap rate.

Bills doesn't have a pool but you can go next door and use Flamingo (I don't think I just made that up) You didn't - That is correct.

Back to the Strat it also has low limit table games including a single zero roulette wheel (possibly the only low limit single zero on the strip), making it much better odds than the american double zero wheel. Of course it also has the tower with its awesome rides and awesome view.

The rooms are OK at the Strat

I hope the other comments help. The standard Flamingo bathrooms aren't much bigger anyway.

I think Bill's would be great for a first stay. It's bang centre of the strip and you can be on the strip from your room in 2 mins as opposed to 10 mins at the MGM. The rooms look nice from the photos I've seen.

    Hi all,
Just thought I would come on here with a problem I've got,and see if anyone had any advice.
While in Vegas last month we went to the premium outlets, and among the things bought was a Calvin Klein cardi for myself.I have bought a few things from there, and have always bought a size small.Anyway, tried the zip-up cardi on,and it fit perfect like all the previous stuff. So put the one I had tried back on top of the pile, and picked a new untouched size small, from further down the pile.
Now four weeks later, and I take it out of the bag,and try it on.....Guess what,It's far to big.It says it's a small, but like I say,I have quite a few Calvin Klein, bought in Vegas and Florida, and the small all fit perfect. This is obviously sized wrong.Maybe I should have tried it on before now,but when you've already tried the small on in the shop, you assume it fits...Anyway,this top is no use to me this size,as i cannot wear it.Anyone got any ideas as to what I could do about it.I can't find an e-mail address for them, and to be honest,if I could I don't know what they can do....any ideas anyone ?

Oh,by the way I don't do trip reports, never have, but of all the trips I have had the Jersey boys show was the most enjoyable evening I have had in Vegas. If you are off to Vegas soon, you must go.

I would put it on ebay to recoup some money.

Another vote for ebay. It is probably the only way that you'll get anything back.

it's amazing what you can get for stuff on Ebay if you put it's original RRP in the title , and that it was purchased from a genuine retailer . even better if it has original tags on it , has not been worn , and comes from a non smoking house .

my wife got all of her money back on a Tiffany necklace , purchased in Bellagio Las vegas with original bag and receipt, when she sold it on ebay .

some things just surprise you how much they sell for .i had a old Mega City 4 CD sitting in my attic that i purchased for £5 back in the early 90's . it sold for nearly £40 a year or so back

cut your loses and put it down to experience
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
