SeptemberGreat informative TR Indiegirl.....congrats on your marriage as well:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0

MayCongratulations on the marriage. Great TR!
Reading that S didn't want to hold a cub. Does that mean that photos with cubs are available at the moment? Might have to have a wander down there today.
Did anyone see Sgt Pepper Live featuring Cheap Trick when it was on? I had seen it mentioned on TZ I think, but didn't pay much attention. Just read someone's TR last night when they said it was 1000 times better than Fab Four Mania which we had really liked. When I went looking for tickets I couldn't find it listed and it turns out it finished last night.
However I had seen another show that only started on Wednesday called Nunsense which sounds good. Didn't see it at the half price ticket place so may just book direct with the Hilton.0 -
MarchHas anyone travelled from Heathrow to Las Vegas via LA using UA, if so what are the seating plans like between London and LA ?
We are thinking of using them Feb/March next year. Thanks...0 -
SeptemberCarnegie Deli? Were the sandwiches absolutely huge? It gets great reviews but I wasn't that keen on it...but at the time didn't want a sandwich and went with one of the only hot options - burger - which was pretty much the worst burger I've ever had in Vegas. It wasn't bad, but it was just 'eh'.
Good god, I could've written that above. Yes, the Carnegie Deli. I didn't fancy a sandwich and the burger I eventually opted for was pretty forgetful. Looking back at what I ate, it's no wonder I've put 1/2 a stone on :eek:I still refuse to ride the Deuce, but the Ace, I'm thinking we may try a day of getting around via the bus...just to see.
This was the first time I've ridden public transport overseas; I'm much more of a taxi girl really, but when we worked out that the 24hr pass would allow us to trek up and down the strip as well as go to the Premium Outlets + Downtown... that swung it for me really. The Ace displays "Gold Line" on the front now but its easily distinguishable as the Deuce is a double-decker whereas the Gold is a bendy single decker.
The Deuce I will try and avoid at all costs again unless I'm desperate, but the Gold Line is a definite plus point for RTC in my book.
Did you know that the fine for not having a valid ticket on either of the buses is $750? There were security guards at the stops checking tickets and talking to all riders generally - not just targeting the tourists.
For anyone else reading - the Gold Line doesn't take money on the bus (the Deuce does) but there's no excuse really not to buy a ticket from the machine before you travel; the machines really are so simple and all you will lose is maybe 10mins of your ticket time (although don't buy it at 7.30pm cos the buses run a lot slower, it seems!!)0 -

We did it in reverse last year (LAS-LAX-LHR); the seating plan on our flight was a 2-5-2 combo in Economy/Economy Plus. It might've been 2-4-2 in Economy Plus (which was what we flew).
Having done the same route via American this year, I would opt for American over United every time now. The American Airlines planes were much more comfortable IMO and the food/service generally better.0 -

I'll be honest and say that we didn't check after S said she didn't want to hold one (even though all the way to MGM she said she would). However we were there same time last year and cubs were available, but don't go just on my word as I can't say for definite!0 -

Anyone used these chaps before ?
We used Viator last year, paid up front in GBP on their website, had no additional charges on the day other than tips for the pilot... our booking was with Sundance Helicopters and the whole process was very smooth and straightforward.0 -
October , Novemberim on for a bit of advice re airport lounges please folks
we fly dub to lhr 8:30am and depart for las at 15:35
return flight from las arrives in lhr at 14:05 & departs for dub at 19:30
so as you can see we have quite some time to kill in heathrow
just wondering if anyone can recommend a lounge for both times? i know we can hover round the shops for a while, and that some lounges you can only stay in for 3 hrs, but i imagine on the return leg we will be shattered so will enjoy some comfort!
i joined ba exec club but dont have any points yet (my las flights havent been added to my acc yet) so im def not eligble for ba lounges as we are flying economy
thanks in advance!
ps loving all the trip reports!! really looking forward to doin my own in approx 10 weeks lol!! xx0 -
