6-7 hour flight vs 10-11 hour flight

IMO that makes no difference, my sis took her 2 when they were both under 4 to Australia.

as an extended family we have taken under 1s to Vegas

Thinking about using the Flamingo code ($80 a night for me), anyone been there whats it like? We thinking of the Venetian $109 deal too.

I like Flamingo it is small enough to get round, Go rooms are not to everyones taste though and are not very big , the aircon is not great if you are there in middle of summer.

Venetian rooms are much much better

Overall I would rather stay at Flamingo, although I have never paid more than about $50 a night (weekday)

If the $80 is for a Go room midweek it's OK. $80 for a deluxe midweek however is way too much and unless there's some huge fight or conference on (and even then ) you can do better on price.

My main reason for staying at the Flamingo is because most of my friends stay there and we always do at least one show there (and with Total Rewards I can usually get the room comped) I wouldn't stay there as often otherwise. It's a nice hotel and has a fabulous location and good facilities -it suits a medium budget but if I was looking for wow factor and was prepared to spend more there are other choices to consider -but would cost more.

    A quick ESTA question, please?

We went to Florida last Oct, so I know that our Visa's are still in date, but I seem to have lost them! and now I am not sure how I can retrive them off of the ESTA website.

    Does anyone have any idea's?

I think we are going to try to use the Gold/Ace bus a bit more next trip...only tried it once to go downtown after years of refusing to take any bus in Vegas...I still refuse to ride the Deuce, but the Ace, I'm thinking we may try a day of getting around via the bus...just to see. :)

I had love / hate views on the buses. They are great value at $7 for 24 hours and are supposed to be frequent (every 15 mins or so) and run 24 hours. The Goldline is definately the best, but only stops at Mandalay Bay, Tropicana, Bellagio and Wynn/Fashion Show on the main strip. We found we could go from MB to Wynn in 10 mins, but some nights it would take us 35/40 mins to go from MB to the Venetian on the Deuce.

I dont know why the Deuce doesnt do what the Goldline does and work on a trust basis, that all passengers have tickets and just do random inspections. Stopping at a bus stop when 50 odd people need to swipe their pass when getting on the Deuce I would get very impatient!

And a couple of days as we stood in the 110 sunshine, with no shade and sore feet, waiting over 30 minutes for a bus as it hadnt showed up, or was full and couldnt take any more passengers, we wished we had just went to find a cab and pay the $15 ride back to our hotel.

Its all electronic, your ESTA will show when you get your passport scanned at the airport. As long as you are within your two year limit, you shlould be fine.
