Flying out in the morning... woohooo
I have 2 rooms booked at Ballys, 1 for me and my other half and 1 for a mate of mine, I am going to try the $20 trick but should I send my m8 up seperatley for his or should one $20 suffice for both?
Any body have any experience or success with this
I am also flying out in the morning.
There are no rules to blagging an upgrade (which is basically what you are doing). I havent stayed at Ballys (ferf is your girl).
I have had success at many places but IMO $20 for an upgrade on 2 rooms is taking the ....0 -
I have had a look at the restaurant week and there are lots of places doing 3 course dinners for $50,
Wish I had known sooner though as I am in a hotel tonight on a netbook, which is a pain to use and i may not get access in vegas.
I quite fancy Auriole at MB though, looks a great set menu.
Does anyone know if it is good and if there is a dress code0 -

been off the forum for a few weeks as been super busy, watching national lampoons vegas vacation reminded me to log back on!
awsome film!!
hope everyone well, am looking at sept next year for my trip but still put off about the idea of a baby doing that flight
interesting posts back there about safety in vegas, the strip is very safe but out of it where tourists dont go can be hit and miss in places particually up on west sarah fly over, around the station casino, main problem for crime is pick pockets and con men (oo and the entrance fees for clubs)

We're off to Vegas next week to get married and just found this thread! I have a million questions but prob a bit too late!
Has anyone used a cash passport/pre-paid mastercard for their $$$? We have one from Thomas Cook but First Choice told us in no uncertain terms that you CANNOT use them in Las Vegas! I think they're wrong personally! Can anyone confirm?
Also we really wanted to hire a car for a day or two but we don't have a credit card, I'm assuming there's no way we can?
Really worried we won't have enough money to do anything but eat and get about! We think we have about $200 per day. I know there's no point asking how much is enough because everyone is different but hoping we can do more than just that!
i wouldnt get a prepaid card, get an abbeyzero instead, the problem with prepaid is if you dont spend it can be hard to retrive it without taking a loss0 -
AugustThanks Ferf - I gave Mandalay a phone and they said it is either $100 a night either by credit card or cash or we can ask for the account to be closed at check-in meaning we just cant charge to our room, which is fine with us. Not stressing anymore - thanks!!
Ah so it's fine to waive the right to charge to the room? I'm staying at MB too and was considering ringing them so you've done me a MASSIVE favour by posting this! I've been really stressed about it!hiya guys
thanks for the advice on getting to ellis island.
leave on friday so getting properly excited - already cant sleep lol!!
am getting married on 30th and will be picking up our licence on the sunday 29th and was wondering what the best way to get to the licence place is? we think we will be buying a bus pass as want to get to outlets and downtown a few times in week so makes sense. but does the ace go anywhere near? or shall i get a cab?
thanks
